Re: Unsung Heroes
Johannson, Bell, Bates, Yorath, Weston, Lawson, Storrie, Peacock, Greenhoff, O'Grady, Hibbitt I always feel Madeley, Reaney & Jones were the unsung heroes out of the great Revie first eleven I could never understand why Jones and Reaney were so badly overlooked by England . Maybe had Alf stuck ...

Re: O/T The 2010-11 Ashes Thread
I didn't realise that Strauss only needs 4 more centuries ( he has 19 now) to be Englands all time leading century maker and he's already surpassed the likes of David Gower. He showed real leadership today .

Re: Beckford vs Baggies
Moyes rates Beckford . The goal Beckford scored the other day doesn't look like a player short of confidence and he did miss a few sitters in his time with Leeds . I'm sure he will score goals at premiership level but it will take time .

Re: Unsung Heroes
I would say Chris Whyte, he was a great defender for us during the early 1990s, Chris Fairclough also. I also remember Peter Haddock was a reliable no nonsense player who supported our back four for a few years in those days. Stevie Hodge was also a player who scored crucial goals. Whyte and Faircl...

Re: FA Cup draw next Sunday/TOMORROW
Assuming they can win their replay against Swindon , I'd love to see Leeds play Crawley Town at the Broadfield Stadium . Fantastic ground for a non league team and of course it's my home town . It would be a really hard game though as Crawley are flying and have a really dangerous striker called Mat...

Re: Team v Reading/updates
:pig: Their sub came on & gave McCartney a hard time Reading could have scored 3 or 4 according to my match reporter at the game, Eddie Gray also comfirmed it too Sky reporter said that Kasper was outstanding today . Two hard faught draws with only a dubious goal scored by Norwich is a real turn...

Re: Books
I don't read too much fiction ,probably spent too many years studying it TBH but JD Salinger's " Catcher in the Rye" remains my favourite. Shame Mark Chapman was found reading it outside the Dakota Building. I like reading books about football and boxing. I've yet to read a book about Leed...

Re: Are we good enough?
I do think O'brien in particular has been a stablising influence . I'm hoping that the embarrassing defensive performances against Barnsley and Preston are behind us . I'm encouraged that we did not capitualate against Norwich. Pre O'brien I think we would have done . The championship seems very ope...
