Re: Donny v Leeds - Team/Reports/Ratings

Great to hear so many favourable comments about the team and individual performances v Donny. Fabulous to hear about debuts of Mowatt and Wootten (what is it about 'double t'?) as well as Smiff breaking the scoring drought. The response from fans reminds me of the similar exuberance following the Do...

Re: Ipswich v Leeds - Team/Reports/Ratings...

Saw the match via TV replay, hence opportunity to relax and enjoy already knowing the result. As stated many times, a combination of resilience and good fortune ensured we were still in the game after the opening quarter. Leeds started to show threatening signs just a little prior to our 1st goal - ...

Re: Leeds v Sheffield Wed - Team/Reports/Ratings

Based on TV watching, was an interesting match in the sense that all three results were possible right to the end with neither side quite having the attacking quality to take the game when half chances came. Was good to see Poleon given a league start - he regularly provided a spark in his own indiv...

Re: Leeds v Brighton - Team/Reports/Ratings....

A big united crowd, solid team effort, some individual highlights, tense and unpredictable climax - sounds like a great day at ER and much encouragement for the season ahead. It makes me wonder about the need for tit-for-tat divisive remarks about club administration/management from seasons past. Ch...

Re: Oh dear....booing at the Bescott Stadium

Disappointing to hear of the ordinary performance at Walsall.
Were there any signs of the team adopting the passing game espoused by the Manager?
Any specific feedback on individual players?
Was Austin involved?

Re: Leeds v Watford live in sky

Do we know why Thompson was withdrawn from the starting Xl?
I was disappointed to miss an opportunity to see how well he has developed over the loan period.
Does he have a contract for next season?

Re: The season summed up in two results

I would say the Watford results are atypical of the season - a home thrashing and an away win. Our home results are surprisingly solid and up there with the better teams. Our eventual safety in this league has owed much to the burst of wins and points we picked up on the back of the takeover finaliz...

Re: Players released...

I can't see anything controversial on this list. As others have said the real interest will be in the ongoing status of the contracted players. Has there been an announcement on when we will know more on that score? I'm looking forward to seeing what players get used in the Watford match. Cheers, CS...

Re: Player Ratings of 2012/13

Given Sam's all round game I should rephrase by saying the lack of a standout player operating regularly in an advanced role is telling.

Re: Player Ratings of 2012/13

An interesting basis for discussing the performances of our squad over the past season. Unfortunately my viewings have been too limited to make a worthwhile contribution. Over the whole season it seems it would be hard to go past Sam and Paddy as the two standouts. The lack of a creative and/or atta...

Re: Leeds v Watford live in sky

I think Setanta are showing it in Aus as a delayed broadcast following the live Cardiff v Hull match.
I'll have to decide whether to check out the result before watching.

I'll be interested to see if this (expected) outcome leads to Zac Thompson being given an opportunity in the 1st team.

Re: Ross McCormack....

Based on relatively few TV viewings I find Ross Mc a bit frustrating to watch and difficult to categorize and judge. For me he doesn't make consistently good decisions, needs (or at least allows himself) too many touches on the ball ie. seems to lack a 1 touch game, and can be lightweight in possess...

Re: Leeds Vs Wednesday

Such an important win - always satisfying when recovering from a deficit. A bit of luck our way: Varney's header off the bar just over line but might not have been given; didn't play Wednesday out of the game at 2-1 and could easily have conceded 2 late on; their striker going off. There has genuine...

Re: RELEGATION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the topic of relegation, it seems almost certain that at least 1 team will be relegated with an unusually high number of points. We must make certain it is not us by picking up more points. Equally, a low number of points might make 6th place (perhaps sub 70 pts) - such a wasted opportunity that ...

Re: Sloths v Rams - Team/Reports/Ratings

Having suffered through a TV replay of the game, have to say the kid Dawson was quite impressive - got around the park, showed willing to link up, and made his share of clean or clever passes including involvement in one incisive move into the penalty area toward the latter part of the first half. A...

Re: RELEGATION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think we are more likely to pick up some points against the promotion chasing teams than the less credentialled teams. Seems we do better when the expectation level isn't as high.

Re: Sloths v Rams - Team/Reports/Ratings

There are some worse case scenarios whereby leads could get relegated. However I am hoping the interim management will focus on putting out a team that plays some confident, effective and watchable football. If that happens, the fans will get engrossed in the game rather than transfer their fear abo...
