Btw that Lil Guff (9/2 winner) was 25/1 last night on B365. I only put it in for the name, connections landed a right touch as it was backed at all odds down to the SP. Not a penny of my dosh unfortunately
Yes a bonny looker, King's Lynn is Royal Ascot bound, entered in the Kings Stand, Jubilee & Wokingham Stakes, will be interesting to see which races Balding chooses for his exciting sprinter.

Prefers a galloping track, handles any going & has form figures of 1221 when David Probert rides him. I would love to see King's Lynn win a Group 1race after his first Group 2 victory today.

Nice pick with Lil Guff, cosily beating my selection Gidwa into 2nd place. I didn't even consider Lil Guff, was surprised when I saw it's SP.

Looks an improved horse since last year does Kings Lynn. Could be a RA group 1 for Queenie. I shall have to check the odds.
Never would of backed the Guff, obviously been doing something at home. Would be nice to be in the know on a gamble like that.

Kings Lynn is around 16/1 in the market in all three of those races, we'd have to wait to see which race he is finally declared in before considering an anti-post bet, Jay.

Yes Leon, just had a look. Will keep an eye out as RA not far away. Be fitting for her to get a big win there this year.
I remember now it was 7th in the Kings Stand & then 3rd in the Wokingham last year. Hampered both times.

Ran a decent 2nd in a Group 3 race too, at one of Ascot's general meetings.

King's Lynn obviously goes well on the course!

Looking at the table, Kenny it seems as you’re doing your best Dean Smith impression to 64’s Pep/Klopp 😄

Like me, you were unlucky with three 2nd's & a horse that was favourite coming out of the stalls like a snail losing the race at the start.

Carlos Felix looked all over the winner once he got his head in front of Colinton in the final furlong, only for the gallant winner to fight back close home.

My advice would be to save as much of your bank as possible until the final day, especially after suffering such bad luck, yesterday

Kenny, to answer your question properly Rule 6 (below) could apply shortly, unless you have a change of fortunes :duno:

Rules for the Saturday 'Flat Season' Competition

1. Each player starts with a £600 virtual pot.

2. In the week leading up to the Saturday I'll post up the main meeting of the week (which will normally be the main televised ITV Racing meeting), where a minimum of 3 races are to be bet on. Horses from other meetings can be bet on - a minimum of 6 in total (all 6 can come from the main meeting - using other meetings is optional). If less than 6 races are selected your entry for that Saturday will be considered void and a £25 penalty imposed.

3. Only horses from flat racing meetings run on turf in the UK and Ireland can be selected - no All Weather tracks.

4. If a player misses a week, unless previously agreed, then £25 will be taken off their total winnings for that week.

5. A player can bet any amount each week, as long it does not take them into the red.

6. If a player has less than £50 of their pot remaining, they will be allowed to go into the red to a maximum of £50. If a player stays in the red then the maximum wager that week can only total £50.

7. The minimum allowable bet is £2.50 ew or £5 win.
