International Call-ups

Post by Genghers »

Cook and Mowatt called-up for the u-18s and u-20s respectively.

Great news for the lads, who have both shown their quality this season so far. Lets just hope they don't pick up any knocks!

Eoghan Stokes called up to Ireland u-19s and Callum Nicell to the u-16s.

Nice to see more of our academy players who haven't broken through yet getting International recognition.

Very well deserved although a minority of our fans won't think so !

One more! Academy player Callum Nicell has been called into the Republic of Ireland U16 squad at the end of November.

Well done all three lads!

There's an echo in this thread.
Bates, GFH, Cellino: Same s**t, different arseholes.

Cook and Mowatt now not going out to play but Mowatt is meeting up to train with the under-20s.

Sensible move from Redders I think. Cook has played a lot this season and we don't want him to burn out like Byram did at the end of his first season.

I'm sure they'll be disappointed, but it's for the best in the long run and apparently the Youth boss of England understood where Redders was coming from.

It also, dare I say it, keeps them away from those representing other, Premier League, clubs who would tap them up

Indeed. Those two, plus Byram and probably Dawson are ones we want to keep if we're going to build something under Redders.

Eoghan Stokes got another 2 goals against Gibraltar. 5 in 5 for his country now!

Austin scored and got an assist for Jamaica.

Munya Mbanje made his debut for Zimbabwe (u23s), but I think it was only a cameo.
