My Sporting Hero
Reporter: "So, Gordon, any plans for Europe this year?"
Strachan: "Aye, me and the wife quite fancy Spain in August."
And there he was. Sitting next to us!
Talking the best midfield in history, 4-4-2 v 5-3-2, Gary Speed (RIP) Spanish beaches, GCSE's, snorkelling and naked sunbathing.
BRILLIANT!
BRILLIANT!
BRILLIANT!
Fitting after Alhambra I met my sporting God.
To the 'wee Magician'.

I couldn't contain myself. I spotted him soon as he came in. No one else knew who he was and he was 3 feet away! I just had to start chatting to him. His wife was so nice too.whiteswan wrote:Wow! Re: My Sporting Hero
Met my sporting hero when I was about 8, I was very shy back then so just a stupid grin on my face. I've never met a Leeds player but half the 1980's Chelsea team used to go to a mates parties.
