Re: Pontus Jansson
Absolutely brilliant.
Very unfortunate his block tackle ended up with the goal.
He was immense and that headed goal was quality, over powering Chris Samba is no easy feat.

Re: Pontus Jansson
We struggle with out first XI
Imagine taking out a couple of our big players we'd be fooked
We have no subs that make an impact for the last 20 minutes let alone giving them 90 minutes

Re: Pontus Jansson
Pontus call it right
Quality player recognises quality. I suspect it frustrates him the direction Leeds have taken this season
He said: “I’ve been in England two years now and Wolves are the best team I’ve seen so far. They are easily the best team we have played this season.
“They have fantastic players and a good team. They are good tactically, but also they have three offensive players – Diogo Jota, Leo Bonatini and Ivan Cavaleiro – who are some of the best players in the league.
“They play with three strong defenders and two wingers who run a lot. It is like they cheat in defence by waiting for you to attack and then they have a lot of space to attack when they get the ball.
“For sure, Wolves are going to be one of the teams going up to the Premier League, if not directly then through the play-offs. But it’s difficult to say which other teams are going to be there.”

Re: Pontus Jansson
Pontus has hilariously explained that he would contemplate getting a Leeds tattoo if the Yorkshire giants achieved their aim of obtaining promotion to the Premier League this season
“This club is so huge, it has to be in the Premier League,” Jansson said, as quoted by the Express.
“I remember 15 years ago when they were in the Champions League. I always said I only have one team in my heart and that is Malmo, who I supported as a boy, but now I have Leeds.
“They are not in my heart yet, but maybe in the future. And maybe I’ll get a Leeds tattoo if we go up.”

Another performance of superb proportions.
Not often Pontus comes up against someone with the beating of him physically.
Matt Smith is a unit, but Pontus had him covered.

Re: Pontus Jansson
Pontus was a rock once again, kept us in the game in the first-half
Our fans love his hand/arm punch at the end of the game once again
Pontus hovers at the back whilst the others take their applause. As Pontus approaches our end with his fingers wavering & our fans humming a woe he finally unleashes the arm punch to the joy of our fans then he walks off to the 'Magic Hat' song :sing:
Very similar to the one Steve Evans use to do !

We have lost that game without Pontus yesterdayCjay wrote:Another performance of superb proportions.

He was forever covering Ayling & had both Smith & Washington in his pocket
That's how immense he was :clap2:

Re: Pontus Jansson
The reason why QPR didn't score in the first 89 minutes
Re: Pontus Jansson
Brilliant all round again . . This is the Pontus we need.
Oliviera dances past a few players, Pontus steps across and thats the end of that.

Re: Pontus Jansson
Great to see he appears to have got his form back and hopefully is going to break the loan/buy curse
Re: Pontus Jansson
Absolutely immense again yesterday
Pontus was outstanding v Villa & QPR too. I don't generally give players 10/10 but yesterday he was immaculate, head & shoulders above the rest of the squad now he's got his mojo back

Re: Pontus Jansson
I haven't seen his goal. I recorded 'The Championship' on Channel 5 and somehow ended up with Leagues 1 & 2

Decent highlights here Swanwhiteswan wrote:I haven't seen his goal. I recorded 'The Championship' on Channel 5 and somehow ended up with Leagues 1 & 2
Doesn't show you Jansson's wonderful header off the line or when Olivera danced round some feeble efforts to tackle him until he met his match in Pontus stopping a certain goal I suspect, both moments were just as important as his goal. Pontus also won countless headers, without him we would have lost that match !
Noticed how dangerous Pontus is in the oppositions box where as Cooper is a pussycat. Different class !
