A week in sunny Spain probably at a 5 star luxury hotel with spa/golf course & all the trimmings

We all need a holiday, hopefully will dissapate all the anger and we come back refreshed

Double training sessions every day in Spain or being unable to train outside due to the weather here - a sensible decision one would have thought.

Wolves have done the same.

For the reason Weasel gave. To train in good weather.

Different scenery, clear the mind, do some outdoor training, come back with clear focus.

No point trudging round a wet/snowy Thorp Arch all week.

Not sunbathing weather in Espana at the moment. This time last year we were stuck in our home for the weekend as we had over a metre of snow fall in the afternoon - the car was completely buried and the gazebo collapsed with the weight of the snow.

It is probably around 15 degrees celsius in Spain at the moment (dependent on where they would be going but unlikely to be any warmer). The major difference though is the lack of the continual drizzle that we get in the uk as such the pitches in Spain will be much better to train on and less chance of players picking up colds leading to muscle fatigue etc - in the 2 1/2 years I lived in Spain didn't get a cold once.

It is just a completely sensible decision to get away and have a full week of training and get the 2 new lads the chance to integrate properly rather than players being stood around cold and wet.

SPAIN TRAINING CAMP: DAY TWO

The latest from Murcia.

It was an intense second day of training in the Spanish heat as double sessions began for Leeds United.

After arriving on Monday and taking part in a training session in the afternoon, things really stepped up on day two.

Following breakfast the team headed to the training pitch, where they took part in an aerobics session.

Hard running, ball work and set piece drills and tactics all followed, before the team returned to base for lunch.

The Whites were then back to the training pitch for their second session of the day, where they were pushed to the limit, with continued running and sprints throughout.

Speaking about the camp so far, Northern Ireland international Stuart Dallas said: “It’s been good, we had a session yesterday and a double session today and it has been tough.

“The boys know we have to be on it, we’ve had a couple of disappointing results and we know that is down to ourselves and we have to show a reaction.

“That is what we are here to do, we are not here for a jolly, we are here to work hard and it has been really tough today, we’ll relax now and get ready to go again tomorrow.”

Forward Kemar Roofe, also spoke about how tough training has been so far: “The intensity this afternoon was massive and it was probably our best session all year, it was like a game on a Saturday.

“We’ve come here to get away, focus on football and training and everyone is putting a lot of hard work in.”

The team then returned to the team hotel, for dinner and another early night, ahead of another busy day of training on Wednesday.

You can see training shots from day one below and more action from Spain on LUTV.

So it has taken until nearly the end of January to have the best training session this season
