King King are my current fave live band. Check them out if you like blues/rock. Great lead guitarist and singer very much in the Paul Rodgers type of vocal.
Re: Music Chat Thread.
Thoughts on this album, guys?
For me, it's one of the best debut records of all time.
Such a shame we never got more albums by them.

For those of you that like Prog Music.
Listening to "Pattern-Seeking Animals" Only Passing Through.... (2020)
Extremely diverse with many influences.
Some members of the Spocks Beard but not Neal Morse.

New album ‘ The Dreamless Sleep on the 1990’ by Broken Records is worth a listen, think a few people on here will like it.

3 stunning covers
first up The Interrupters version of Eilish's Bad Guy. They're an LA Punk/ska band and this is a ska version...

Next up, Celtic, Americana, Folk and Indie Art Rock outfit Elephant Revival with a stunning version of Tool's Schism.... Tool and their offshoots are the best band/s of the last 30 years by a distance of course

Off the top of my head, Acid King and Sparklehorse are conspicuous by their absence, and are both likely to be in my top five. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 9:03 pm Best albums this year in no particular order
Wednesday - Rat Saw God
Dark Horses - While We WEre Sleeping
Cory Hanson (of Wand) - Western Cum (this is likely AOTY, but there's still time)
Dorthia Cotrell - Death Folk Country
Corrinne Baily Ray - Black Rainbow
Water From Your Eyes - Everyones Crushed
Fever Ray - Radical Romantics
Susanne Sundfør - Blómi
Spotlights - Alchemy for the Dead
Jalen Ngonda - Come Around and Love Me - (the best pure soul album in many years)
Hackedepiccioto - Keep Sakes
Duster - Remote Echoes
Cat Clyde - Down Rounder
Gretel Hanlyn - Head of the Love Club ( A real grower)
Brendon Eder Ensemble - Therapy
Plus a few from Sara and some I've forgotten
There's a new Chelsea Wolfe single too...

The Acid King is one of yours, the Sparklehorse I did forget. I'm not getting into Chelsea Wolfe at all for some reason, we're not clicking

Re: Music Chat Thread.
Which ones have you tried, out of interest? There's the single with ERR, for example. Early stuff is a bit downbeat Banshees, later ones get quite industrial. Mrs Piss is still my fave. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Wed Oct 18, 2023 2:37 pm The Acid King is one of yours, the Sparklehorse I did forget. Mostly things from Abyss, I think. You may get on better with Pain Is Beauty or Apokalypse then, given that you like Siouxsie. Or maybe it's not your thing. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Wed Oct 18, 2023 2:49 pm Album wise, Hiss Spun and Age of Violence ... plus anything you stuck on waccoe...

I assume all our music connoisseurs own Norman's top ten albums of all time.
All subjective of course!
