Can't see this happening unless Burnley get someone in as he played at City last night 🤔
Interesting thread on the Burnley forum about his attitude, a lot claiming he has an attitude problem, and is a full on windup merchant (bit like Ashley Barnes) all a bit strange

If it was TRUE that his attitude was really poor then i have no doubt Farke would put a stop to trying to thinking of bringing him into the squad.
Lets just see what happens regarding this possible signing, then if he does come to Leeds we can see first hand how much truth there is in these stories.

Left back is the absolute priority if we had one I’d think

Good player Connor Roberts at this level.

Be a meh window at best if it's just him though.

We've needed a left back for ages, even Farke said as much.

And we still need an extra attacking player which weirdly is something the club must know because they've tried for Brooks and Carvalho and were trying to sign John Paintsil late in the Summer and Amiri.

Hopefully more to come

Roberts travelling for a medical, straight loan deal.

With it being a loan if there is an attitude problem, ala Spence, then easy enough to cut the deal short. Makes sense as well for theplayer as presumably he lives somewhere close to Burnley so means he doesn't have to move home etc. Having the welsh lads around him too will probably help him settle into the group.

Also means that even though he is a right back it strengthens our left back options as it means Byram, Firpo and Shackleton can all be used at left back without the likelihood of one having to be used at right back.

All in all just a very sensible move for all concerned. Hopefully it comes off and the timing could be very good as it means Gray can be rested on Friday so as to make sure he is fully recovered and then Gray can play in the cup tie on Tuesday as presumably Roberts will be cup-tied.

On a side note the cup tied rule seems to be discriminatory as if a club deemed it to be an important factor it makes them more likely to buy a foreign player as they wouldn't be cup tied.

Glad it will just be a loan. If we were to be promoted, he wouldn't be good enough.

Not sure he'll be better than Archie Gray either, so probably be bench/cover.

CJAY because we make enquiries about a certain player - who plays a certain position - does not necessarily mean we need a player in that position. We have the same number of CB’s now as we did when we started the season.

It could be he wants to reshuffle - so if he wants to offload let’s say Cooper or Cresswell he will want what he considers an ideal replacement in before he sanctions a player leaving.

Same with the Brooks and Carvalho enquiry, it does not necessarily mean we are light, he may know that Gnonto is attracting interest and again before he sanctions a deal he is looking at a replacement.

If he gets a RB in we are not light squad wise as he has replaced Spence - Ayling was never going to feature. If he can get another FB in he may do so. I still have my fingers crossed for Charlie Taylor personally.

Erm both YEP and Athletic said we want a cb, I was repeating what the YEP said basically word for word.

It wasn't my opinion

We are still light on the right wing and 10 area and left back imo.

Find it very odd we have seemingly stopped bothering with those positions given we tried to buy 3 10s in August, Amiri, Chair and O'Riley and 2 in this window.

Now not bothering.

For me a right back is just a typical Radz and Orta window if it's the only one.

Buy one to replace one, never any thought to building a squad and depth.

But no left back would be again odd as even Farke said months ago it was light

Relying on Shacks whose basically a poor man's James Milner

A right back and Firpo at left back for the season would be risky.

Aside from anything else all 3 are always injured

We're not relying on Shackleton although I would have no problem if he ended up playing all the remaining games at either full back position Shackleton is 3rd choice right back (probably 4th if we sign Roberts) and 3rd choice left back. So we are only reliant if we get at least a couple of full backs getting season ending injuries.

Shackleton would likely be a regular starter for half the teams in this division.

Bournemouth could strike permanent deal for Luis Sinisterra before 11pm deadline.

Has Brooks definitely gone to Soton ?

He absolutely wouldn't

Hence why Millwall only used him for 16 matches worth of minutes last season and didn't activate the buy option which according to Phil was cheap.

Nice lad, good pro, but not much else
