Leeds v Ipswich - Team/News/Reports/Ratings...
We face the Tractor Boys on Saturday who lie 5th from the bottom of the championship but have found some form of late under their shrewd manager Mick McCarthy, no doubt he'll have his troops well organised with striker DJ Campbell finding his shooting boots in readiness for their visit to ER

Re: Leeds v Ipswich - Team/News/Reports/Ratings...
Dipswitch are a banana skin awaiting for us, if we aren't careful.
OK - they have DJ - but Lees and Tate can keep him quiet, I'm sure. However WE need to be on the front foot all game.
Hope that Thomas will be fit again, tho he is still tweeting about having "ice baths" for his hamstring prob. If not fit, then Hall or White, LW?
I'd play SamBy on right MF and Pelts at RB for this one. Sam and Thomas running the flanks will tire the turnips out in 30 mins.
LB? Has to be Drury.
Midfield will be the problem tho, if Sam and Thomas are playing wide. Norris and Tonge, I guess? Green didn't impress against Derby, despite his goal.
Diouf and Becchio up top - tho Becchio doesn't deserve the start after his rubbish display at Derby. Ross was even worse!
Finally, DROP KENNY! I know he is Warnock's love child, but I blame him for two of the three goals yesterday and I've still not forgiven him for just not TRYING to save watford's last 3 goals at ER.

Can see a very good win for us in this one. Got the blip out of the way, back on track with more realism in our aspirations.
I realised I was dyslexic when I went to a toga party dressed as a goat..

Thats what i would go with as well, but maybe with Diouf slightly more advanced.Kyle_5351 wrote:..........Kenny

This is a game that we need to sin and one in which the bookies have us as favourites (http://lufans.co.uk/leeds-united-v-ipsw ... mber-2012/) but they do have a good balance of experience and youngsters who could turn us over.
A must win

Oh, just realised this is a later kick off. Will not be in vlr tonight.
So I assume we will start with Diouf tonight then?

Re: Leeds v Ipswich - Team/News/Reports/Ratings...
Disappointed Pearce not starting.
Re: Leeds v Ipswich - Team/News/Reports/Ratings...
I agree about Kenny, could have done better for 2 of Derby's 3 goals. Then again the whole defence should have thrown their bodies in the way of that shot for the 2nd.
Re: Leeds v Ipswich - Team/News/Reports/Ratings...
Ok here we go with the match ratings.
Kenny 7.
Came off his line early on a swept up a half chance, collecting good not tested, safe hands.
Byram 6.
Did his job and nicked in a good tackle scond half when I thought one of there players was through on goal.
Wasnt his usual self when he got forward, couple or poor crosses. Him and green seem to play well. Some nice changes and one twos.
Tate 7.
We have our selfs a clever defender here.
This dude is big! well he seemd big to me. Early on poked his foot out to stop a through ball which i thought was impressive given his positioning at the time.
Good defender for this division. Isnt as slow as some say saw him knacking it to get back he has just enough pace to keep it going but anyone gets a yard on him who has some zip he is in trouble. Good job he reads the game well. Calmly keeps the ball on the deck. Tall Brick wall.
Lees 6.
Didnt notice him all that much so must of done his job.
Peltier 6.
Better from him.
Bombed forward a few times and played some good link up stuff.
Tonge 6.
Did his job.
Green 7.
I like Green, lots of hardwork and took his goal really well, celebrated by running past the fans.
Norris 6.
Did his job. Sometimes storms forward to pass out of the blue.
Thomas 7.
His quality was on show today and the good thing was he hardly run that much so he should be fine for the russians visiting ER. Tame header got him a goal and then he set up the second. Man of the match. Also never stops once he has the ball, seems to have elastic feet that just makes the ball come to him, clever player.
Diouf 7. Worked hard. Did what we know he can do. Think he is loving it at ER at the moment. Appreciates the crowd.
Becchio. 5. Uh oh becchio, headless chicken today. A lot of running for no reason, at one point could of run at the keeper and pressured him for the ball but didn't bother. Missed a sitter by his standard in the first half. Saw nothing today that suggests he needed a higher rating. But you know becchio - he always comes good.
Subs: Ross. 5. came on for diouf think warnock might be making these two compete for places a little?
Direct running and silky movement.
Mick brown. 5. Came on the pitch and tackled someone pretty hard. Won the ball and off we went.
All in all a pretty tame atmosphere at elland road with the early nights setting in now.
The GOOD news is that the lads did not have to get out of second gear to win today, the dipsticks only had about 5 minutes of pressure in the second half that was any threat. All those players should be ready for the Chelsea game without much jadedness.

Re: Leeds v Ipswich - Team/News/Reports/Ratings...
Does anyone know the status of Adam Drury? Injured? In the shed? Chillin' in Ken Bates' pool in Monaco? Any information appreciated.
