Barnsley v Leeds - Team/Reports/Ratings

Post by 1964white »

God knows what team BM will select v the Tykes....he'll probably drop Murphy

Fingers cross we can avoid the annual Oakwell battering

I reckon Zaliukas will be unavailable due to what looked like a serious injury towards the end of the Seasiders clash

I can imagine it'll be the same team as last weekend, though if Z is out, I don't know who would replace him!

If only we had another right back, Wooten could just move to CB...

Is that question addressed to the players?

Loaning out Peltier was yet another senseless error by McDermott :(

I suspect that it didn't rest at his door. We needed to lower the wage bill and he will have been one of the players other teams would have wanted...

I don't know why we haven't recalled him though (unless there isn't a clause in the terms of his loan).

Is Zac Thompson around? He had a couple of run outs a while back and now that we are safe maybe worth a look at him at RB/ Right wing back?

On the way to Barnsley on Saturday morning a nice little pub stop in cudworth do really good bacon sandwiches as regards to Peltier in my opinion the further he is away from Elland Road the better.

Having had the misfortune to watch a chunk of the QPR/Forest game on saturday lunchtime, he didn't exactly set the pitch alight...in fact, he had a bit of a 'mare. Now where have I seen that form before...?

I'll be going to witness us get our annual hammering at Oakwell. At least they don't have Perkins in their line up this year as he was always MOTM when he played for Barnsley, he looked poor for Blackpool on Saturday. It will be tough because they'll see this game as huge and a must win if they're to have any chance of staying up. Too difficult to call as it could go either way depending on who's up for it most

I see Barnsley warmed up for the Yorkshire derby with a huge win at Charlton last night to throw themselves a lifeline in the relegation mire, no doubt this will give them confidence to take forward into Saturdays game..... I fear the worst...

Tonge has an ankle knock and doubtful for the game - Austin is fit and in the squad. Sam and Kebe still not fit....

Peltier and bacon in the same sentence is about right

Given we've not won at their gaff since 1997 (!)...how wonderful would it be to trash them on Saturday and possibly relegate the fekkers?

Having to miss the game today due to a heavy cold, sore throat, coughing with the sneezing still to come, lack of sleep doesn't help, haven't had a cold in over two years but when i get one it's a cracker :( Thanks to the lads coughing & spluttering on our coach to ER last Saturday :|
So a nice easy day of rest as i have to work tomorrow & also hopefully be fit for the Forest game on Easter Monday

What are the odds of the actual team turning up at Oakwell now after all those batterings i've experienced

Sorry folks no match reports from the Wolds this evening :(

excellent win today, would be interested to hear a match report from somebody at the game...

looks like mcdermott is slowly turning it around with a bit of stability now...though I don't plan to jump on the bandwagon soon. Think a solid end to the season and he should be given a chance for the next

I'm thinking it is more Cellino turning it around! Starting with McDermott being told to wear a tracksuit rather than a suit as more befits a "coach"!! :bear:
I'm going back to 505, I saw them at Sheffield and they were amazing.
