Rutter - for effort throughout the game.

Strujik - was the ‘free’ defender so had the easier time of it than Cooper.

Anthony - looked interested and showed a few good touches.

Meslier - not at fault and little to do

Cooper - played ok and wasn’t at fault for everything as others have alluded to.

Piroe - slightly better than the ones not selected but not much in it.

No problem mate.

I'll try to put myself through a replay of the game tomorrow, if I get time!

Struijk was the stand-out....

I could easily select the worst five or six :poo:

These are my exact top three. Next up, and I’m holding my nose, would be:

Rutter
Ampadu (improved 2nd half)
Shacks
Fly Fishing, Skiing, and The Damned United

Rutter spent most of the game falling about on the floor for me Joe, shame really as he has improved massively of late.

I definitely see your point, but he was still making things happen. Sweet pass to Piroe that Piroe subsequently botched. Some nice dribbling to separate from the defenders. And taking that shot from an acute angle was all he had in that moment. Everyone was covered on the cross. Agree he definitely could have been better, but he wasn’t as off the mark as others this week, IMHO.

He was mate.

Perhaps I’m being harsh (gauged against his recent good performances) and Piroe should definitely have made more of that chance given to him by Georginho.

Tough one as nobody stood out in a positive way.

Struijk, I guess.

Struijk
Rutter (needs to stay on his feet more often for his size, but shows some great touches and is sometimes too quick for his team mates)
Shacks
Byram
Ampadu
Anthony (would like to see him start)

Even naming 4 was a struggle, we were poor all over the pitch. Looked like a team from the end of last season.
