Not worth crowing about that, he's a very good manager and could yet get auto over us... We seem to be kneejerking again. Long way to go

In fact, it's right up there with that Ayling goal you just couldn't script.

You need three on Geo first, then two on Cry... That's why DJ gets so much room every game.. We only struggle when teams can pull down our front 4 at will with no recourse and they basically pack the box

Doesn't take away from the record breaking season Ipswich have had though but Mckenna set up in a way that allowed us to exploit the obvious talent difference.
I think/hope that it shows Farke can tweak tactics when he spots weaknesses in opposition teams. He knew Ipswich were going to try to play to their strengths and he turned it into a weakness. Harder for any manager to come up with ways of beating a parked bus defence when the strikeforce has an off day.

Many don't seem to think Farke has tactical felxibility but that is because the subtle tweaks go unnoticed, or things like the traps that they work on in training so that they exploit opposition ways of playing.

Hopefully other teams will take note and also exploit Ipswich weaknesses although of course that only matters if we do our job.

I will be hoping Leicester and Ipswich draw against each other. Would like to see both of them coming back to us.

Hope Ipswich next block of opponents look at how we set up today.

That’s a great formula to beat them

Obviously need the players to execute the plan which is what we did today

What the league placing show is that Ipswich are a strong team going forwards - no real flair players who can cause mayhem, it is their team play. But we have two players in the middle who read the game so well and can break up play and play a simple pass that builds a counter attacking platform, Ipswich then have to defend against fast and skilful forward players . In this league Ipswich do not face that level of quality to defend against very often when their team is stretched. They also have a belief they can out score such opposition.

Our defence was solid today, all the players were on it.

ipswich’s success this season is based upon strong offensive and purposeful transitional play which is very well coached, McKenna has done an incredible job. The gulf in class between our squad and their’s was evident today. So again what McKenna has achieved is staggering so far. How Ipswich react after this setback will be interesting.

Our problems stem from over committing against the low block and giving the ball away in dangerous situations. We need to find a way to beat this tactic - an early goal generally helps.
