Oh, sorry - I read it as 'best album of the 1980's"
I did the ready-fire-aim thing again.

Looking up 1980 specifically then it's either Emotional Rescue by the Stones or Remain in Light, Talking Heads. But then there's also London Calling, The Clash.

I'll go with Remain in Light.

As the Talking Heads has previously been nominated and the Clash was december 1979 it looks like you've nominated Emotional Rescue by the Rolling Stones if that's ok :)

Oh dear. I really am the only cadet out of step in this parade aren't I.
I thought the more votes for an album, that would mean .... oh never mind. Emotional Rescue is fine.

London Calling was very late 1979 in the UK. Released early 1980 in the US.

For a third run round that’s a pretty decent line up.

Just goes to show how many great albums by recognised artists there were in the 60s, 70s & 80s.

They are there in the 90's and 2000's but we're mostly of a certain age and most people get stuck in an era. I'm different in that I constantly need new music. 24 has started slowly though after one of the best years for new music in decades
