I thought he was poor to be honest MC, some absolute shocking tackles let go, the one on Rodon was disgraceful and he missed the Bamford handball (appreciate it’s in our favour, but can’t let that be a bias).

I forgot about the rodon tackle which was very poor, overall I thought he was ok, although having seen some of the other clowns we've had probably made me think he was better than he was.Barlow Boy wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 11:02 am I thought he was poor to be honest MC, some absolute shocking tackles let go, the one on Rodon was disgraceful and he missed the Bamford handball (appreciate it’s in our favour, but can’t let that be a bias).

ALso forgot, he let them get away with timewasting from the 4th minute on, 4th minute no wonder theyr'e going down.

Yes, the time wasting was another point off.mentalcase wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 11:09 am I forgot about the rodon tackle which was very poor, overall I thought he was ok, although having seen some of the other clowns we've had probably made me think he was better than he was.

Quite why Rotherham were time wasting later on, when they went 1-0 down, I’m not sure.

Don't think Bamford's goal was a handball; I think he shouldered it in.Barlow Boy wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 11:02 am I thought he was poor to be honest MC, some absolute shocking tackles let go, the one on Rodon was disgraceful and he missed the Bamford handball (appreciate it’s in our favour, but can’t let that be a bias).

I’ll wait for the other angles to come out John, but I’m struggling to see that he chested it in and his celebration would suggest it came off his elbow.John in Louisiana wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 7:59 pm Don't think Bamford's goal was a handball; I think he shouldered it in.

8/10 from me.
Not too much to gripe about, let the game flow under poor conditions and booked a few of theirs .
No controversial incidents to think of.

Don't normally do this because I don't watch many games, but 9/10 for me. Looked after our players well, let advantage play. Was very fair to both teams. Good ref for me.

A very good performance, got the cards out at the right time, otherwise I didn’t really notice him which is how it should be.

Did well at times but, the booking of Rodon and the missed penalty let him down.

Very decent performance for me, thought one of their players (can’t remember the name) got away with two bad fouls and the Rodon booking was harsh.

Re: Rate the ref: Plymouth v United 17/02/24
Thought he did well. Ignored the crowd for the most part when giving the correct decisions when Plymouth were giving away a lot of free kicks. Penalty was the only main one he may have got wrong but if he decided the initial foul was outside the box then it is fair enough. Gave us the protection we need from a ref when we are playing away (unlike the ref v Preston as an example who let them kick us off the pitch). Compared to the general standard this season I will give him an 8.
