News Article Leeds United's Call to Arms

Post by YorkshireSquare »

In the history of Leeds United, there are moments that define our club, moments that transcend the the game and etch themselves into the hearts of fans forever. Bournemouth 1990, Bristol Rovers 2010, one of those moments is yet again upon us. With just three games of the Championship season remaining, our destiny beckons. It's time to rise up, to summon the spirit of Elland Road, and to seize our rightful place among the elite of English football.

From the vociferous terraces of Elland Road to the farthest corners of the globe, the passion of Leeds fans knows no bounds. Now is the time to unleash that passion like never before. Let every chant, every roar, and every ‘Marching on Together’ resonate through the Lowfields and beyond. Let Middlesbrough, QPR and Southampton tremble in the face of our unwavering support.

Of course, our history is woven with tales of failure and obscurity but there are also incredible moments of triumph and glory, of heroes past who wore the white shirt with pride. It's time to honour that legacy, to channel the spirit of those like Billy Bremner that would have broken themselves in two for the sake of Leeds United. Let their deeds inspire us, let their victories guide us, as we march on together towards our destiny.

In the heat of battle, there can be no room for doubt or hesitation. Every Ilia Gruev tackle, every Georginio Rutter pass, every Patrick Bamford shot must be executed with conviction and determination. We must fight for every inch of the pitch, for every opportunity to seize victory. This is not just a game; this is our destiny, and we will not falter.

Under the guidance of Daniel Farke, the team have restored the fans faith, risen from the ashes left by the failure of Jesse Marsch, Javi Gracia and Sam Allardyce to be on the verge of reclaiming their rightful place among the giants of English football. Sure, the Premier League with it’s state owned clubs and VAR is awful but we still want to be part of it, right? Trust in Farkes vision and in his unwavering commitment. It has served us well so far and with him at the helm, anything is possible, and together, we will conquer all.

As the final whistle approaches, as the tension reaches its zenith, remember this: ‘We are Leeds’, and we fear no challenge, no obstacle, and no opponent. Three matches stand between us and glory, and we will not rest until victory is ours. So, let the battle cry ring out across god’s own county, let the white army march as one, for together, we will rise up and claim our rightful place once more.

Marching on Together!

I keep doing that! Probably trying to forget the Blackburn game to the point I think we haven't played them yet!
