Re: Southampton post match discussion
How on earth do we turn things around from relegation form. To now essentially needing to win 3 games in a row against 2 other totally desperate teams who want to get out this league?
Re: Southampton post match discussion
Not looking to the playoffs at all. Could be all over by Sunday PM.

No excuses for Farke today or his fans. Ipswich were never going to lose to an already relegated Hudds, who probably joined in the celebrations with them.
He had a chance to rest out of form players and didn't. He had a chance to try something different and didnt. He had no pressure and a free hit and has cost any chance of the playoffs.

Agree apart from the point he’s cost us the playoffs. A ball hasn’t been kicked yet.SG90 wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 1:39 pm No excuses for Farke today or his fans. Ipswich were never going to lose to an already relegated Hudds, who probably joined in the celebrations with them.

Just replying to your Moore comment from the previous thread SG. We had 4 players in that game, one who got injured. That was Tues, extra time and pens. Sky made us play that Friday, 3 days later. Very unfair that.....SG90 wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 1:39 pm No excuses for Farke today or his fans. Re: Southampton post match discussion
Well that was poor squad management then. Why start James 2 days after he missed a penalty when Anthony was free? Sky didn't move the game, every Championship side plays on Good Friday.

I dunno what your age is Morpheus?
But I've neem supporting Leeds since 1967 and disappointment is part of being a Leeds supporter.
As soon as I saw their heads go down at Coventry I knew things were done this season, so I wasn't taking too much notice of today.
We've had opportunities and blew every one of them.
It is what it is mate, pointless spoiling weekend getting upset as these guys don't deserve it.
Unfortunately there will be a few more humiliations to come before our season is over.
Wagner is not a bad coach and will have them right up for it next Sunday.

It is shite GW, but I could see this coming a mile off, and be prepared for a few frowny faces when these guys let us down again in the play-offs.GreennWhite wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 1:44 pm The Monty Python songs comes to mind for some of our disgruntled fans " Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life "
But in comparison to being robbed in the European Cup Final in 75 and being heartbroken then, this doesn't even register on the long list of disappointments I've suffered as an LUFC supporter.

Re: Southampton post match discussion
Strikers are often lazy bastards, Moore doesn't get through a lot of work and I don't think he started v Finland a couple of days earlier either.. .. Ampadu got through more work than anyone, Roberts got injured, James missed the key pen and Rodon not been the same since.
But I agree re poor man/squad management. We had the talent to rotate but didn't.
