Must just be me, but although the responses are quite funny, I thought the whole thing a tad rude?? :duno:

No, don't see it as remotely rude. Any idea or belief that can't stand up to a gentle challenge isn't worth a bean.

Whilst I agree and anyone who knows me knows damn well my stance on religion etc. However, some of the responses were just trying to take the pi55 without thoughts to others, that's how I read it anyway. Having said that, had the minister juts put LOL, I feel the thread would have died sooner.

Socialism.
Bullying Atheists.
Islam.

Not many of your posts attack those with such veer and sneer.
Quite frankly I find you quite hateful and spiteful, and one of the reasons this message board isn't as busy as it used to be.

You show classic hardcore socialist traits, such as mocking of our culture and religion, you are happy to call anyone else a racist, prejudice, an idiot, or question their "intelligence." Anyones Ideas you don't like (namely anything that threatens socialism, so christianity and even a minor whiff of patriotism sends you into melt down) is automatically branded stupid, and must be attacked and backed into a corner.

I think I type for the silent few who browse here, however I won't debate you as I am aware you are quite skilled at twisting realities and perspectives and slipping out of tight spots even with faced with facts and proof.
You say we should be more open to immigration and ideas and culture as that what is truly good about socialism, quite odd as when anyone else brings up free thinking ideas (yes most notably your hatred for UKip springs to mind) they are instantly rejected and bullied off the board, along with the other socialists and gay users who too can be quite hateful.

You know what Guild, maybe you should go to church once or twice a month, it might do you some good, because from where i'm standing, you could do with some goodness in your life, and that goes for the gay members too.

Good night all.

You are totally out of order Ems with your gay comments.
If you and GW want to knock lumps out of each other, thats up to you, you're both more than capable but your comments are uncalled for and unwelcome. It would be good if you would retract them.

Actually this board is quite busy considering the time of the year it is. Historically, the board is usually completely dead around this time.

Doubt it. Emsley made some homophobic comments, said he wouldn't debate and left. Not much is likely to happen if a poster is scared of debate

What do you mean "gay comments" ??
Do you have a problem with me judging a man or woman with sexual preferences to the same sex on their character?
Or what?

What as someone's sexual persuasion got to do with the argument.
You can judge who or what you want but when you use it in a negative manner on here then it becomes an issue.
Why use it at all?
In all honesty Ems , I always had you down as better than that.
