HSV relegated...implications Lasogga?

Post by fred »

Lasoggas club Hamburg ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cW-9FRzPZQ ...some fans not amused)has been relegated. Guess it has no implications for us in regard to keeping him or not. Doubt we would want him whatever.

Let’s have a whip round so that Hamburg can afford his wages so they don’t send him back to us

Got to admire a guy who can earn that kind of money for doing so little. Greed runs our world, but it has a special hold on football...

Top of the pyramid are the fans though. It`s their interest in top-flight football that enables the clubs to spend big time in fees and wages. This could be somehow approved of as it reflects `supply and demand`. Bemoaning it would undermine the justification of being a fan...
Something quite different are these billionaire owners though.
But whatever..."The whole world is a sack of s**t ripping open. I can`t save it." (Bukowski) Not too negative I hope...

There was an interesting piece on Sky the other night where Bellamy was discussing the workings of the Academies and in particular the economics of it. He was saying that teams are signing players on £50 - £60k a week just to play U23 football knowing that they will never play in the first team....now that is mad. There was also a story about a young lad of 11 discussing his first contract and the fact that his parents wanted a house and to retire out of the deal.....and clubs were willing to do that - staggering, Merson looked like he was going to explode!

The irony of this being discussed on Sky TV was glossed over :roflmao:

So should we remain in the Championship? The PL doesn`t sound like the promised land.
