Leeds v Chelsea - Team/News/Reports/Ratings...

Post by 1964white »

A big game, sell out crowd by all accounts & one that our players will be well up for :-D maybe that's the reason why the ball was in the air for the majority of the game v the Tractor Boys to conserve energy

Play football as we did v Everton, Southampton, Huddersfield, Palace & Leicester with the same battling workrate/attitude & who knows what we can achieve !

Hopefully we start with the same team as v Ipswich

They will put our a strong team I think... Might be the only cup they have a chance of winning!!
Best way fir us to play this is get right in there faces boot them in the air don't give them a second on us!!
Really intimidate then!!
And for us the crowd to really get behind our mighty whites!!

AFAIK - none of them have already played for parent clubs. If they have, then no and can't play on Weds either.
If you are on about any new players we may sign  , then same applies. If they have already played in Capitol 1 Cup for another club, they can not play for us if we sign them.

Alan Tate has played for Swansea in the League Cup so cannot play for us in that competition on Wednesday nor, as you say, afterwards even if he becomes a permanent signing. Jerome Thomas would be free to play, but it remains to see whether Warnock will risk playing him three times in a week.
