Birmingham v Leeds FA Cup Replay - Team/Reports/Ratings

Apparently Luciano Becchio advised some half time changes from his sick bed based on the @yorkshireradio commentary...

Well how many of us could have seen that a result coming !!

Well done - great second half performance.

Just hope NW doesn't chop and change on Sat again now.
Leave the defence in particular as it ended tonight !

Crucial factors from tonight's game

Diouf & McCormack haven't played together since Cardiff away in September i believe....if we play these two upfront the ball has to be played on the floor which will suit Ross Barkley when he returns

Peltier had a good game at CB alongside Lees

White has done well at LB against a good right winger in Chris Burke

So - players let off the leash again for a cup game, and do well playing their OWN game?
Does make you wonder how they play so shyte in the league eh?
Couldn't possibly be cos they didn't have warnock's tictacs tonight and were allowed a free reign? :duno:
Ah well - happy for the footballing comeback tonight - back to lumping it over the M/F to whoever, on Saturday then?

I prefer this one...better effort made with initial post.

anyway Leeds to surprise the Brummies and play decent football, pressure off. 1-2.

For the true Leeds fans who braved the weather to St Andrews they were treated to a 2nd half of decent football.Players seemed to realise when McCormack makes runs if you find he will damage the opposition he was poor in the 1st half but as stated the 2nd half he was a revalation.Plus two good saves from Ashdown kept Birmingham at bay.So the long trip down was well worth it now role on Spurs for another day out for the glory hunters who will be able to say i was there.
Match Ratings
Ashdown 8 Made some great saves solid throughout
Byram 6 Got to grips in the 2nd half
Lees 6 Held firm
Peltier 6 A far better performance
Drury Could not give a rating
Brown 6 Worked hard but not the answer
Austin 6 A better performance than of late
White 7 Ran all night
Varney 5 The main target of fan foolery
Diouff 7 A nice penalty but why does he have to try and beat opponents twice
McCormack 8 Poor 1st half but showed his doubters wrong in the 2nd

Subs
White 6 Showed Warnock he has a place
Pearce 2 A couple of good clearing headers at the finish

You deserve it EY....glad the players woke up from the slumbers to put is a decent shift in the 2nd half. Spurs the incentive i suspect, maybe the players are the glory hunters

Normal service to resume v Bristol City :(

I take it that the White who got 7 was better than the White you gave 6?
