New mod - Nominations
Just my pennorth. This may not be appreciated by mod/admin team but as someone has already mentioned maybe this should be a time for the minions to chose. Here's my idea. Nominate three people you think would make good mods. You can nominate yoursen if you like. Once a reasonable time has elapsed, say a fortnight then the mod/admin team can do a poll to find out the majority vote? Of course nominees can rule themselves out if they don't want to do it.
My nominations for new mod would be (in no particular order of importance)
64
Drleeds
Dradadsotherson.

Re: New mod
Happy for a vote to be held but wasn't sure if people would prefer to be nominated by others or to put their name forward if they were interested.

Re: New mod
I'm sure 64 could come up with a really complicated scoring system for this.
You can nominate 3 mods and vote for up to 5, but no more than 2 of your own nominations. Votes cast on Halloween count double.

I vote for Mrs 64!
What kind of music do you usually have here?
Oh, we got both kinds. Country....and Western.

Re: New mod - Nominations
Anyone 'elected' would have my backing. The thing that seems to be important for a lot of people who have commented on this is for this moderator position to be some kind of link between regular posters and the mods (to some extent). I think those nominated so far generally have a good rapport with other posters, which is the first step.
(edit: For clarity I don't mean that I feel GW didn't have that rapport, just that it's an important factor.)

Re: New mod - Nominations
I'll nominate Armley - he was nicknamed "Twiggster's Rottweiler" when he was a mod on here last time
Did a damn good job, too.
Question - is this just about electing GW's replacement, or a whole new mod team?

Re: New mod - Nominations
I don't think there's been any call for sweeping changes? GW has stepped down, so there needs to be someone to take his place.Twiggster wrote:Question - is this just about electing GW's replacement, or a whole new mod team?

Possibly, I'm not sure how often Shields and LUFCRACE get on here as they don't post regularly That would only leave Weasel and Crude as the day to day mods
