This is difficult, I like a beer when I go out and occasionally at home but my home tipple is usually a glass of red wine with dinner, like Whisky/Whiskey and Cognac too but if I could only have one for the rest of my days then I would have to go with beer. Now lots of polls here favourite beer, wine etc....

One of my sisters' favourites too Jill, have to say igin is one drink I can't take too but I've noticed it is getting popular, so much more choice nowadays used to be a couple at best, we recently went to a wedding they had a gin bar at the hotel there was around 30 different ones to choose from.

Even though I don't like it, I was still tempted to try one, they looked very tempting, settled for too much malt whisky instead.Mrs64 wrote:Wow !

Guinness, now that's something I used to drink far too much of, only drink it occasionally now but always at the Cheltenham festival, always more than I should too.paddy parrott wrote:Well done Hector and to Mrs ., hope all is well too.

I'd call myself a beer drinker so that means I'm also teetotal these days.

Glad she's beating it Hector, I know from experience how hard it is having someone close who has a problem with it, unfortunately it normally wins.

Oscar Goodman, the former mob attorney and mayor of Las Vegas (you can see him playing himself in the movie Casino) was once visiting a third grade classroom and was asked by one of the children, "If you were stranded on a desert island, what is the one thing you would most want with you?"Mrs64 wrote:It has to be Bombay Sapphire Gin
"A bottle of Bombay Sapphire," said the Mayor.

Re: Favourite Alcoholic Drink - Poll
Depends on what is meant by "favourite."
Beer first, then wine (red), then spirits in terms of quantity (although not a lot of any of it).
Sapphire and Jameson's are fantastic, but the best for me is the 17-year-old Bowmore.
