Dangerous just putting the name up like that. Some might think you’re trying to suggest that the departure of Jesse Marsch was the catalyst of Gyabi’s decline.

I myself am not so facking fick.

Fleetwood interested in Leeds' Gyabi on loan

"Leeds United’s Darko Gyabi is attracting loan interest from Fleetwood Town.

Gyabi, 19, has made only two substitute appearances for Leeds so far this season.

The midfielder joined the club last summer from Manchester City, featuring mainly in their Premier League 2 side.

Fleetwood have had a tough start to the League One side, winning just one point from their opening five games. Scott Brown’s side travel to Charlton Athletic tomorrow."

Fleetwood ? You would think a player of his talents would attract a more attractive loan option. If this is the best offer he gets there must be a huge negative around him that only those folk in football circles are privy to.

All clubs have networks and likely keep tabs on all promising young players. Under 23 games are packed with loads of scouts. Any assessment of Gyabi would encapsulate significant long term data around his development rather than just the last couple of matches he featured in.

Apparently a 5 million offer came in for him from Valenciennes. Followed by confusion, however It now looks like he is not leaving the club until the Jan window.

I think the move is off.

I'm glad, he'll come good.

Yeah, just saw Phil’s tweet that came out about 20 minutes ago. I’m conflicted. On one hand more game time is desirable. But can also see the benefit for him to practice with Gruev and Kamara and the rest of the others. Have to remember he’s only 19.

Looks like three different teams were in for Gyabi on deadline day:

  • Fleetwood Town - loan
  • Valenciennes - £4million and £5million permanent deals
  • Swansea City - loan

We should've bit their hand/s off, he's so good that 6 managers have looked at him now and the latest has bought 2 in front of him and probably promoted Shack in front of him as well.

I'll check back in on 01/09/2029
