First heard them on Jules. Loved them, but haven't listened to them for ages. Great band I thought. Female singer/keyboard was married to lead singer I believe.

Don't really bother with music any more, I used to love it.....seems to get on my nerves now, can't cope with it, hate the noise, the intrusion, especially in the car can't stand radio either. Sorry.

Would love to get back into it though....but don't really know how....

Try Sprawl (Mountains Beyond Mountains). Regine sings that one. She's one of my favourite parts about the band. Does backing vocals and plays a lot of percussion instruments. They are very much an indie guitar band. But they do have a lot of percussion instruments. The other cool guy in the band is Richard Reed Parry who plays pretty much everything. When I hear their albums the percussion gets lost in the production. That's what makes them so great to see live.

I wish I had seen them live Andrew, so much chaotic energy on stage watching Arcade Fire videos.

How could anyone not enjoy their music?

The best band to come out of Canada.

Well at least you've seen some live clips on tv. Lots of chaotic energy on stage. As I said earlier, the post production seems to lose all the fun of the percussion instruments.

Barenaked Ladies are better, Godspeed, The guess Who, even the Band ... and as you say the best band by a distance out of Canada is Rush. ATM I'd still have Gordon Lightfoot over Neil Young for solo artist

I own their 'American Woman' album, never excited me as much Funeral & Neon Bible.

The Guess Who's works haven't aged well.

Never a Rush fan, much preferred Wishbone, Floyd, Stones, Yes, Hawkwind, Tull, Sabbath, The Who, Cream, Zeppelin Genesis & many others in the 70s.

I suppose most fans would include Exit, although I never listen to it. Did see them on that tour though.

I'm a fan of Caress of Steel, which is probably their least popular of the early ones. Love Moving Pictures, but not anything much after that.
