Wet and somewhat more subdued than on previous visits, Foxy.

But then I think Cardiff are doing so poorly in the Championship at the moment that expectations were pretty low tbf. However, when they scored a couple it did liven up a bit atmosphere wise. A poor crowd, not much over 20k and >6.5k of those were Leeds fans. I think the fact it was on TV and the weather was typically Welsh, i.e. chucking it down in spellsor much of the time

It was evident that the guy sat in front of me was a Leeds fan as he didn't react at all either when they scored. Talking to him at half time he was from Kent and his daughter who was also with him, lived in Cardiff got him tickets.

We did try and get a transfer (although not using MC's suggested approach) which looked like getting a result initially. Were taken back out escorted round to the last gate before the away entrances, but Les, the Supervisor Steward on that gate was having none of it  ........the first steward remarked when walking back into the Home sections 'Les is a Hammer....they're a funny bunch' :)

There were an elderly couple next to us and the chap hadn't missed a Cardiff home game in >50yrs. Fair play........you get less for murder !

All Leeds second half, great goal from Rodders again, missed the pen but made the keeper make the save which was decent. Joseph looked good, decent effort to try to drag the ball back late, good cut back from Rodders but there was a lot of work to put that away... Then Firpo (I do think goals should be automatically given in these circumstances) incredibly cheated of a goal

Firpo then confirmed his MOTM with a flick for Perkins the predator to put it away for a very deserved draw
What happened with the Firpo goal? I was out to lunch so missed the game

Firpo’s shot was going in, about a foot inside the post when a defender made a save with his hand. Rodrigo missed the pen and Firpo didn’t get his goal. Hence it should automatically be given as a goal at that point

I watched a full replay of the game today to see how bad it was, how bad some players, who were slaughtered on here, were. It is sometimes good to watch it afterwards knowing the score etc so you can anaylse without the emotion that comes with watching it live.

For me the performance was entirely consistent with the majority of our performances this season. We chased around, made it uncomfortable for the opposition but then when we got the ball it all slows down as we just don't have anyone in their right position so we just end up trying to force passes - when they work great but the tactics make it so hard for our players.

Defensively for the most part we looked okay but it was clear that Struyjk was thinking like a left back for the first goal. That's an error by the manager not the player in my eyes - and if Struyjk goes back to left back for the next match then the decision to play him as a centreback for just the 1 game becomes an even bigger managerial mistake. Llorente I thought was okay, not spectacular but I did notice that he was often in the left of centreback position - was that because he was having to cover Struyjk drifitng left, or Llorente having been played left almost going into those positions on auto-pilot now or just simply due to how we often look completely lop-sided with the formation? Hopefully now we have Wober it means that Llorente can just be used as a right of centre defender and compete with Koch for that position.

The midfield and attack lacked an experienced head to try to organise them. Something I pointed out as a aworry after seeing Marsc's line-up. Noticeable that when Wober came on he was having to tell some players where to move to - and that despite him being a defender.

All in all though it was just a performance similar to Bournemouth, Fulham etc where we can be cut open by any team. Yes the way we play means that sometimes we create good opportunities, because we win the ball in a good position, but equally it hinders us because it means we lose the ball far more often than we should and makes us vulnerable to any team no matter how poor they are.

I will certainly give you Adams John. Probably wasn’t front of mind not having played in Cardiff.

You’d mentioned before the stewards were the jobsworth type, so nothing has changed then!
I suppose it’s no fun being a Hammer atm.
50 years of Cardiff. Sounds like a book title. The worlds most boring book😀

Are you an ‘auto cupper’ mate ?.

Me, and a few mates (also ST holders), had some right old fun getting our tickets sorted. A problem regarding expired debit cards in the auto cup scheme apparently. All sorted now, but something of a farce really.

Yes I am mate.

I suppose if someone has had their card details updated, it would cause a problem.

Cardiff City Football Club has relieved Mark Hudson of his duties as First Team Manager.

The Board of Directors would like to place on record its thanks to Mark for all of his work as a player, coach and manager whilst with the Bluebirds but felt that the failure to beat Leeds was the last straw.

We won’t be seeing Mark Hudson in the away dug out, he’s just been sacked.

There have been rumours of a Neil Warnock return at Cardiff......would be an interesting first game back if he were in the Away dugout on Wednesday :duno:

Maybe not such a good thing that they sacked him now. New manager comes in and players trying to show them what they can do, might work against us ?
Would have been better after we had beaten them, lol

Browsing one of their forums, seems it’s not totally unexpected.

As for his replacement, they don’t seem to have a clue.

I had heard they were struggling before they let us off the hook. Probably be just a caretaker manager in now as the game is only a few days away.
Hopefully they will be prioritising the league more than the FA cup and dont give us too many problems, heres hoping, lol
