Yep 👍

Who knows, but I just get the feeling it is between the three of us now.

57ish is about right for 6th, has been slightly more, has been slightly less, but it's about right.

Two of the bottom 3 having 38 points at this stage is unusual, went back 10 years and it's happened once.

You'd usually be 21st maybe 20th or even in the high teens position wise on occasion.

47/48 points for 12th is about right, similar to 6th it can be a bit more but it's pretty on point.

16th though is usually a few points more (43,44,45) Not 40.

So 2 of the bottom 3 being above normal and 16th being below explains the tightness.

Does this mean it's a more competitive season than normal or less?

I don't know, I'd say it's pretty normal but with a higher standard at the top and at the bottom?
It's similar at the bottom to the top then. We keep complaining about how many points all the top 4 have. They must be saying the same about the relegation spots too.

Don't punishments only relate to the division the offence occurred in?

So if you breach championship rules, you only get punished in the championship. And likewise for the premier league. Meaning, Leicester will only get punished by premier league if they go up? Seems a bit backwards. You can breach championship rules, get promoted and not get punished. That's my understanding and if correct something else of consequence needs to happen.

We've won 4 out of 4 against top 2. We've also dropped plenty of points against bottom half teams. Honestly, I wish we got to play Ipswich a couple more times.

This division is a big guessing game. This year probably more than any. 4 teams on pace for automatic promotion.
I hope Andrew that the dropping of those points against the bottom teams doesn't come back to haunt us. Its all well and good beating the top teams who your in the mix with when it comes to promotion but to loose silly points against the poor sides at the bottom is really bad.

Simon Jordan on Talksport this morning went on at length about this, and my understanding was essentially the same as yours.
It might help if both divisions had the same rules, or allowed for the fact that teams do change divisions.

The video suggests they can be punished in the Championship.

The two sets of fans absolutely hate each other and with both sides still in the promotion mix one way or another, it takes on extra significance. It also has something to do who has the best tractors apparently....
Interesting. Thanks Chilli. Didn't realize there was that much animosity between those 2.
Let's hope Norwich can pull off a win. They are well capable of it.

Tractors hey! Well, whatever floats your boat, I guess.

I’d settle for next season, if we do go up we’ll need every helping hand we can get.

Top 10 finish secured now (due to Cardiff and Middlesborough having to play each other).

Fancy one of Leicester or Ipswich to drop points tomorrow atleast

Cardiff are on a decent run, taken the same points as us over the last 4.

Hull are in decent form, unbeaten in the last 6 including a win and a draw vs two of the top 6 (Southampton and WBA)

Next month we’re having some work done to our roof and the mate who is doing it is a Cardiff (and sometimes, when it suits him, part-time glory hunting Man Utd) fan.

Yesterday he sent me the picture, with following messages, below :)
EF29C233-4A1B-4FF3-ADF3-D452BC8FC5D8.jpeg

I have been urging him all week to try and ensure today that the Bluebirds remove the digit from their collective arse and actually put in a decent (WINNING) performance against the 🚜 boys

………..and there actually is an Ipswich Road in Cardiff.

Ipswich get a taste of the late goal medicine they have dished out plenty of times.

Drop to 3rd.

Southampton come from behind to beat Sunderland 4-2 thanks to late goals from January signing Joe Rothwell.

Leicester escape with a draw vs Hull but are now at risk of losing top spot next weekend

Norwich destroy hopeless Rotherham and move top 6.

Millwall continue the upward motion under Neil Harris with a 1-0 win vs Birmingham

Will not be an easy game for us, in great form over rather last 4, 3 wins 1 draw.

Will be another horrible fouling bunch of cloggers
