Fair play to Alex Cairns by the way, brilliant performance from him.

I remember being at Elland Road when his brother had been killed in that car crash, terrible stuff. Pleased he’s done well for himself.

We lost it by missing so many chances. Good watch - really enjoyed it.
I enjoyed it too, we played some lovely football, unlucky not score more than one.

3rd time this season already that the GK is MOTM. We certainly aren't getting any luck so far. Time to channel that frustration to our advantage.

You don't say it for me it's Tinpot

It's the sort of thing he said at Norwich.

And how many times would you expect a League 2 to smash nine of their ten penalties into the net?

I suspect they have been practising them all week.

He’s telling the truth, that’s all, something I like. Whether it’s similar to what he’d say at Norwich is irrelevant to me personally, it’s just the truth.

Obviously, you feel differently and I get that, but with a thin squad at best, we can do without even more midweek fixtures than we already have.

Three points vs the Owls on Saturday is far more important than these banana skin games.

I bet Salford get smashed at Morecambe this weekend.

Think we established the Leeds curse isn’t real so we are therefore looking for scientific explanations as to how, many, many entirely different teams and managers can have been afflicted with repeated cup embarrassments going back as far as I can remember. 33 shots and the one that goes in is the worst if the lot.

The forum always goes into meltdown after a defeat, even though we've played well.

A 2-7 scoreline would be a fairer reflection of that game.

Thought we played quite well tonight but we are still a bit hustle and bustle at the top end especially when teams put players behind the ball, would like to see kamara come in to play beside Ampadu and push Gray further forward

Rutter isn’t a 9. I think as others have said he is far more effective at 10.

Particularly when he can drop deep and pick up the ball and run.
His positioning in the box just isn’t good enough to be a 9.

As an example - Watch the Summerville shot where Cairns gets down well and pushes itout into the 6 yard box. Rutter is running towards the back post the wrong side of the defender. Just not 9 material for me.

As a 10 I am very open minded.

Felt for Shacks, as I thought he had a great game. My player of the season so far. In every position he has played in he has delivered.

Hopefully we take that kind of creativity into Saturday. Piroe would've got a hat trick tonight.
Yes, Joel would have killed the game off in the first-half.

Wednesday lost at home on pens to Mansfield.

Surely we will do them over at the weekend.

Disappointing though it was to lose tonight it just seems to be something about Leeds and losing in the cups, we've never been good, last FA Cup semi final 1987, one league cup final since then but most times out in the early rounds and plenty of times to lower teams. At least it wasn't like some of our recent cup exits where we deservedly lost to lower teams, tonight we created enough chances to win comfortably.
