I was going to post on the “If I was Farke” thread, but my immediate thought was changing the long hair and centre parting.
This is the very first thing that came in to my mind when I saw the thread title “if I was (a) Farke”

If I were Farke
Even just for a day
I'd roll out of bed in the morning
And throw on what I wanted then go
Drink beer with the guys
And chase after girls
I'd kick it with who I wanted
And I'd never get confronted for it
'Cause they'd stick up for me

If I were Farke
I would turn off my phone
Tell everyone it's broken
So they'd think that I was sleepin' alone
I'd put myself first
And make the rules as I go
'Cause I know that she'd be faithful
Waitin' for me to come home
To come home

Appears to be a few Gray areas in your analysis 🧐

Neither did the cheat who got him sent off.... punch to the face I could understand being a red, not a push.

I believe Faaip, a player doesn't need to connect these days, just a raise of a hand to the face is enough to earn a red card, silly rule but, there are lots of them in the modern game, nowadays.

Wrong thread last answer 😁
But I don’t agree. In a tight game keep your head. Meslier failed miserably to do that as the first player barely touches him and he does the head thing.

This is going to sound a bit crazy and it's a scenario with some joy and some sadness.....I hope we get to the play off final, play a great game, but lose in the last minute.......this guarantees some more championship wins rather than a hope we might not be humiliated in most games !! Unless, we win the play off and bring in 6 or 7 really expensive quality players that give us a fighting chance.

Meslier fell for the oldest trick in the book. Engaging in a face to face then reacting with a hand toward a face. What does one expect would happen when the opposition then falls to the floor? Men and red mist! He played into their dirty hands and got punished.

I cheered the penalty in a taxi on my way home and then couldn't believe we were losing as I opened the garden gate. Jeez!

From the 3.5 min highlights I'd say a point is all we deserved and Preston's dirty tactics gave them the chance of all three. A very bad day and down to 4th and 9 points clear of Hull in 7th.

The playoffs are still a real possibility and with better weather and playing conditions to come Leeds will be able to play better football during the finals, but getting knocked out means other clubs will vulture our prized assets.

When the window opens in January we will get a better idea of how the rest of the season is going to pan out. I'm optimistic providing our owners realise that they must splash to make success possible. Will they, won't they?

Difficult to blame Meslier for a bit of red mist... I mean most posters overreact here on a minute to minute basis and they're only watching from home

On the plus side I thought Darlow looked good and it may work for us in the long run

I do. I blame him. Because he’s on the pitch and none of the posters can affect a game however daft their behaviour.
Darlow will get 3 games at least now I imagine. Big chance for him.

I don’t blame the PNE player. I do not condone all the histrionics that are part of the modern game. It is ruining football for me. We would have done exactly the same. At least Meslier touched him - remember the Bamford one.

James is also a leg clutcher whenever he gets the slightest touch.

Aye we will see what he is made of. The passing around at the back will have to stop - I can foresee a calamity giveaway otherwise.

He’s obviously “very” right footed as Farke has said so yes I doubt he’ll be doing Messi impressions

We thought we had one signed at the deadline. But he bailed on us.

It wasn't a case of Gruev or a creative midfielder. He tried to sign both.

Carrick Dave wrote: Tue Dec 26, 2023 4:18 pm I don't see why people are making a case for Gnonto to start, he's made zero impact coming on as a sub lately and lost a winnable ball in midfield which led to the winner today.

We were guilty of not showing Preston enough respect from the off today, they wanted it more in midfield and were willing to fight for every ball - we wanted to pussy-foot about and play cute, eye-catching flicks and weren't allowed to.

Sorry if this isn't exactly a tactical masterclass but it's how it seemed to me all afternoon.
He hasn't been getting a lot of minutes. But I thought he was decent today. The issue is that James is more effective when he's allowed big spaces to run into. Gnonto is better than James is tight congested areas. He's got more of an x-factor about him. When we have 3 in 6 days, I'd definitely like to see Gnonto get a start, especially against a packed defence.
