For some reason i felt we would come unstuck last night against Norwich . I thought they would have the talent to sniff out our weak spots. They didn't. Despite Norwich keeping the ball for 10mins straight early in the second half it should have been another routine victory if we had taken our chances. From memory Norwich had one clear cut chance and they fluffed their lines. Defence solid, midfield two excellent and with Rutter & Jimmy we will always create something. Bamford can head a ball.......

Meslier 7: Clean sheet what more do you want.
Gray 8.5: My mom i thought the kid was excellent yesterday. That Norwich overlap where he just watched the ball and stepped in was top draw. He looked in pain going off...
Rodon 8: Immense has always.
Ampadu 8: Looking every bit the top defender. He really uses the space in front well which pulls other players around.
Firpo 7: Can't knock it all the defence was excellent. Cracking dinked cross.
Kamara 7: Hurried hassled and always in the mix even tho it doesn't feel that way.
Gruev 8: Running Archie close. He just nits it altogether. That backheel was sumptuous.
Summerville 7.5: Needs to find his shooting boots again but a constant menace as always.
James 7: Despite the assist not his best half before going off injured. Lets hope it was more precautionary.
Rutter 7.5: When it goes right for Gorgi he looks a million dollars.
Bamford 7.5: Great accurate header and he worked hard up top.

Anthony 6: He set of really well and then seemed to fade somewhat. Always difficult when players are not in a rhythm but i don't think he's prem quality. Hence.

Short turnaround for the Cup so James, Archie & Rodon can have a rest. What's happened to big Pascal.

can't give individual ratings as I wasn't paying enough attention but i thought anthony was crap, wasted a great opportunity through on goal, gave away an incredibly dangerous and needless freekick near the end and also lost the ball at a short corner leading to a dangerous break, the rest played v well and difficult to separate them score wise beyond paddy for the goal

Meslier - 7 - nice couple of saves, adequate distribution, but didn’t have tons to do for large stretches
Gray - 8.5 - gritty performance. Just a hair behind Rodon for MOTM. Put in an incredible shift. Got battered. Hope his knock isn’t anything serious.
Rodon - 8.5 - MOTM. gritty, warrior-like performance. Gave everything out there. Won so many headers, loose balls, challenges, etc. Took a ton of hits and kept on.
Ampadu - 7.5 - looking more and more comfortable at CB next to Rodon. They have a nice chemistry. Solid distribution.
Firpo - 7.5 - another nice outing. Underrated in how he went about shutting down Rowe (with some help from Kamara)
Kamara - 6.5 - second straight underwhelming performance by his standard, but put in a decent shift helping cover Rowe as well as having to deal with Sara and McLean.
Gruev - 8 - was a bit everywhere… defensively, passing, even pushing forward in the attack at times.
Summerville - 7.5 - decent outing from Jimmy, but another outing where goals and assists avoided him.
James - 7 - great cross to Paddy for the goal. Hope his injury isn’t too serious.
Rutter - 8 - so creative. Almost one too many touches at times where the better decision would’ve been to lay it off to a teammate. But he was electric.
Bamford - 7 - Great header for the goal. Wouldve had a higher grade if he wasn’t as wasteful with his chances.

Anthony - 5.5 - his bad giveaway still clouds my assessment, but he did win that yellow on Giannoulis.
