Anybody who looks beyond Rodon & Ampadu for their first two need to make an appointment with Specsavers.
Both were immense tonight.
Rodon - 31 very good actions.
Ampadu - 22 very good actions.

Re: Sheffield Wed v Leeds - Man Of The Match
Your opinion mate
Apart from a couple of errors, Rodon was frigging immense, Ampadu even wanted to give his award to the big man
Your MOTM made three errors btw.
Firpo the worse culprit, but then he makes a great assist

Re: Sheffield Wed v Leeds - Man Of The Match
Firpo was excellent going forward which is his job tbf.. He's a wing back that's more winger than back. It's why Bielsa/Orta wanted him.. Still some excellent second half defence from him and even as last man on a break he shut down their runner in the first half.
I notice no one is slagging off Ampadu for his major f**k up when the score was 0-0 .. and no good reason they should. But it seems Firpo and Gnonto are over analysed massively . Two weeks ago we had a few criticize Gnonto for giving away a FK for really not much (player backed in and dived) but when Amapadu or Rodon did it last two week/tonight..not a word was spoken..
It's hypocritical

Re: Sheffield Wed v Leeds - Man Of The Match
I see the hypocrisy, but think it may also be in part to "credit in the bank"--Amps has built up a lot more of this with his consistent play since Day 1, whereas Willy still has the specter of the spitting out the dummy/downing tools (apologize if I butchered either of those) and Firpo has his injury history and at times questionable defending to overcome. Not saying this excuses hypocrisy like you're describing, but it may be some bias posters are still holding onto, which, tbf, I get to a point. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 10:52 pm Firpo was excellent going forward which is his job tbf.. And again you'd need to be small minded to really let a young kid badly advised trying to make the best decision for himself ..At his age I was making all kind of f**k ups without any pressure at all.. In fact he should have more credit in the bank for changing his mind and knuckling down ... Unless he does a Henry Ruggs or Ray Rice I'm really only interested in what he does on field, not some petty sleight some might be feeling..AcrossThePondAsh wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 11:02 pm I see the hypocrisy, but think it may also be in part to "credit in the bank"--Amps has built up a lot more of this with his consistent play since Day 1, whereas Willy still has the specter of the spitting out the dummy/downing tools (apologize if I butchered either of those) and Firpo has his injury history and at times questionable defending to overcome. I said in my post Rodon made two poor errors in the game. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 10:52 pm Firpo was excellent going forward which is his job tbf.. Without Ampadu, Rodon or Meslier tonight, we don't keep yet another clean sheet.

Re: Sheffield Wed v Leeds - Man Of The Match
That's a very valid point about Willy and one I've felt all season too--not an easy situation to bounce back from, but he clearly has, especially to the point of DF trusting him, which should be enough credit in the bank for anyone. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 11:21 pm And again you'd need to be small minded to really let a young kid badly advised trying to make the best decision for himself ..At his age I was making all kind of f**k ups without any pressure at all..
