Tbf to Gnonto 8 goals and 2 assists in basically 16 matches worth of minutes is very decent in the league.
That form over a season is basically Summerville level.
Shame he had his issues and then so few minutes in 2023.
He has a case for player of the year for 2024

Was a tough choice for me as Gnonto has grown by leaps and bounds this season.
Ultimately went with Archie, though. Brilliant job playing out of position all year long. Willy gained a great deal of maturity this year; Archie is wise beyond his years.

Archie a shoe-in for this but, as other have alluded, Gnonto delivering his 24 form over the entire season would have made things a lot closer.

Georginio played most of the season as a 21 yr old, he turned 22 in April. Needs to be included imo, bit shocked he's not.
He gets my vote .. I've voted Joseph as my proxy for Geo...

Sorry, I just read he was 22yo, without bearing that factor in mind. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Fri Apr 26, 2024 2:42 pm Georginio played most of the season as a 21 yr old, he turned 22 in April. Needs to be included imo, bit shocked he's not.

Amended.

Oh, that's a bummer!
Apologies, as I amended the poll to accommodate Rutter, I've lost all the previous votes.

Thanks, I'd imagine Gray will still win as he's Leeds royalty but for me we'd be a middle of the division team without Geo who's probably had a hand in 60% or more of our goals. Gray has had a great first season too but I don't think he affects where we are half as much

Gray without a second thought. He has struggled for consistency of late, but he is not the only one. Heritage has nothing to do with his impact this season. Just turned 18 and has made himself a permanent fixture in the team.

Is the Gray vote purely he's Leeds royalty and it doesn't matter how he's played? Because tbh, I really cannot see how Geo, who's carried this team at times, created so much and has probably had a hand in 50% of the goals we've scored, is so far behind,
Gray has had a decent first season, been exposed a few times, few errors, created not much. Hasn't looked a right back really despite all the effort he's put in. Gray has had his moments but probably around a third of the moments Geo has had?

Really really difficult.
In context Archie has been immense because of his age because he's been asked to play in unfamiliar positions all season and because of how much football he's been forced into playing.
He's been asked to do much much more than is normal for any talented 17/18 year old even the ones who became superstars like Mbappe and Bellingham.
So for that reason he deserves a vote.
Gnonto had he not been ignored for the 1dt half of the season probably has Summerville level stats and would be well in the conversation, but he wasn't so can't really vote for him.
Joseph hasn't played enough simple as that.
Georgie has struggled for a while now, he's genuinely one of the worst finishers I've ever seen and his tendency to do things t the wrong time in the wrong area are a worry.
But the way I look at it is would we have coped without Archie? Possibly.
We did cope without Gnonto and we have coped without Joseph.
It may have been better with them but we will never know.
If Georgie is off form and struggling unless Jimmy creates something we achieve fook all.
He's turned games by himself this season in much the way Pablo used to.
He's beaten Pablo on every creative metric.
He's still I think top for open play chances created in the league.
And He's been massively relied upon all season to create miracles as our slow build up has allowed 2 or 3 players to crowd him.
So I'd vote for Georgie because of those mentioned I think his overall presence has been most important and I think he's carried this teams plenty of times.
