Re: QPR v Leeds Utd - Post Match Discussion

It is not coincidence that the return of Bamford and the form of Gnonto played a huge part in our run of 13 wins from 14. We have just lost form and probably a degree of confidence at a critical stage of the season. There was no one on this forum who predicted we would “fellen” ( homage to Kenny) o...

Re: QPR v Leeds Utd - Post Match Discussion

I am not sure the fact Kamara doesn’t back himself and take a shot is tactical. He just does not have the self belief for me. Geo has also started laying off the ball of late when he has been in a good opportunity to get a shot away. We have a real paucity with intelligent runs into the box from de...

Re: QPR v Leeds Utd - Post Match Discussion

This recent bad run of results for us in my opinion are all down to the players, and not Frake as some would make out. Whether the players are burnt out, playing with injuries, got personal problems or illnesses or simply just out of form at a very important point in the season no one really knows....

Re: QPR v Leeds Utd - Post Match Discussion

I agree, though the lack of goals from elsewhere on the pitch is tactical. How many times are players in a good position with acres of space, only to pass to Geo who is crowded out by several players? It's obviously a tactic they've been told to do. We got away with it in the winning run, but that ...

Re: QPR v Leeds Utd - Post Match Discussion

In fairness CJAY - the club origins of a goalkeeper or any player means very little. Few keepers actually arrive on the scene having started at a big club. McKenna has built a decent squad by using what he inherited and adding the right blend of players, not just based on talent but experience and ...

You could join in with the 70s polls which may not be as obscure, Bob

The current 2011 poll was difficult for me 3rd time around.

Re: Saturday Racing, 27th April: Sandown Park (1st race at 1.50pm)

Indeed, 64   :) However, if you don't go for it you don't give yourself a chance of winning. Fine margins, as when I went out I was £220 in the hole, but just the one winner turned everything on its head. On the last day, when the chips are down, going £2.50 ew or £5 means you're unlik...

Re: QPR v Leeds - Player Ratings

Ratings only up to 66 mins because i switched the tv off in disgust of how bad we were playing. I just cannot understand how bad we have played since the international break. Meslier - 2 Byram - 2 Firpo - 2 Gruev - 2 Rodon -2 Ampadu - 2 Gnonto - 2 Gray - 2 Piroe - 2 Georginio - 2 Summerville - 2 Jo...

Re: I want playoff football and here's why

Well they say that the team hitting form in the playoffs is the one that wins it...and that's no one, only Leicester in the top 6 are finishing with any consistency. Ipswich - no win in 4 Leeds - 3 defeats in 5 Southampton - 3 defeats on the bounce Norwich - 2 wins in 6 West Brom 3 defeats on the b...

Re: I want playoff football and here's why

After the unfortunate lack of a proper preseason and the August transfer window (mercenaries etc) had Leicester and Ipswich not dropped points they way they did, we would have been ok with third place and a playoff spot surely? It’s the frustration of actually catching them that’s destroying everyo...

Re: Saturday Racing, 27th April: Sandown Park (1st race at 1.50pm)

I couldn’t have won on todays results whatever my staking plan tbh. I would’ve had to top £600 ish. No chance. Yes it’s open to a last day punt at a big price to steal it. I watched that 5.20 and that Ike horse absolutely bolted in. Was cantering the whole race tbh. Bluming horse ran out last time ...

Re: QPR v Leeds Utd - Post Match Discussion

That goes for the manager as well presumably? Besides players without limitations don't play 2nd division football. I highlighted in an earlier post there are aspects of our game we don't excel in, unlike other clubs. We need to recruit players in the summer with the credentials/skills we are sadly...
