Re: Kalvin Phillips
Phillips, like Cooper, has good games in spells, but is never consistently playing well over the season. You can't put it down to inexperience, as he's played over 100 games now.

Re: Leeds Utd v Birmingham City Match Thread
It was always likely we'd lose to a struggling team than to one of the top sides and given they hadn't won yet, that usually means defeat. We made a couple of mistakes and wasted some good opportunities, rather than being outplayed or blown away, so it was just one of those days and isn't too much t...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thur 20th Sept)
Stuani's just probably lazy journalism as Orta signed him for Boro, then again that sounds about right for us. I can't see us being in for Aspas and Pione Sisto either, they'd be far too expensive for us.

Re: Leeds Utd v Preston Match Thread
Still don't think we were at our fluent best, many sloppy passes, but we didn't really need to get out of first gear today. A good comfortable win, as the last couple of games we've had a nervy last few minutes, so should give the players a conference boost. Positives: Tyler Roberts - those goals wi...

Re: top of the home attendance league
All down to money SG. Radz isn't that rich unfortunately and it would cost a fortune to do as you suggest. It's a nice thought though. If we got promoted, I don't see why we couldn't put some tv money aside for the rebuild. Wanda Metropolitano for example cost €240m for the entire stadium and that'...

Millwall away isn't the time or place for him to make his debut. I'll be very surprised if he doesn't get on against either Preston or Birmingham.

Scored on his debut today
I really hope he does well there and comes back and gets a chance.

Re: Millwall v Leeds Utd Match Thread
Said I'd be happy with a point beforehand. Our hardest away game of the season and their cup final and big performance, good point especially without Pablo and a striker. I think we had too many international call ups this week, Klich and Alioski could probably do with a rest now. Happy Harrison got...

Re: Bolton Wanderers
Feel sorry for the fans as it's not their fault and they're the ones who suffer. The finances in English football are absolutely dreadful. I know Radz gets some criticism for not spending fortunes, but at least we are self sustainable and can survive without him. Most clubs in England are entirely r...

Re: top of the home attendance league
The club will have to find a way to increase seating capacity without harming the atmosphere around Elland Road. A capacity of 35,000 isn't going to allow us to compete in the Premier League, and demand for tickets will skyrocket if we gain promotion. Wasn't there talk of expanding Elland Road to 5...

Re: Patrick Bamford Injury
Typical Leeds, we never get any luck on these things. I guess the positives are that he's barely featured so far and we have goalscorers in other positions. Time for Edmondson, Dalby and Kun to step up now. I think he should be back for the Christmas/New Year period.

Sheffield Wednesday's Fernando Forestieri and Mansfield's Jacob Mellis have been banned for three games after a fight in a pre-season friendly Both players admitted to misconduct charges, with Forestieri fined £25,000 and Mellis given a £1,500 fine. Wednesday have been fined £20,000 and Mansfield w...

Re: Leeds United Under-23's thread
The exciting thing about the u23s is how young they are. Diaz is the oldest regular at 21, so they could play together for a few more years. Got the likes of Kenneh, Hudson, Kun, Odunston and Huggins in the u18s as well. Exciting times, just hope we can keep hold of them.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 7th Sept)
I'd be disappointed to see Rey go without him being given a chance. He impressed me when I saw him in the u23 last season. I thought he'd do well under Bielsa, but we decided to loan him out instead. Maybe it was homesickness or something. Same with Sarkic, he came with a big reputation and started ...

Re: Jack Clarke
If we don't give him a chance, he will leave. He's already too good for the u23s at 17, Cook was a regular at 17, so I don't see why he isn't in contention. Ease him in with a few appearances off the bench and give him a run out. I'd love to see him playing alongside Pablo and Saiz.

Re: Leeds United Under-23's thread
Only caught 15 or so minutes, but was very impressed with football and movement, levels above the dross England u21 served up yesterday. Just goes to show what happens when young players get quality coaching. Well done to Corberan and everyone at the club. Thought Clarke, Stevens, Davis and Diaz wer...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 3rd Sept)
I would have liked a CB, but tbh based on how we play it's the attacking players who do most of the work, so I understand why we focused on improving our attacking options instead. Bielsa likes to play the likes of Phillips and Forshaw there as well, plus Halme is coming back to fitness as another o...
