Re: The "Summer" Transfer Window 20/21 season

Just thinking out loud. Could MB be a hinderence when signing players? Obviously he is a well respected coach but he also is very specific. If you dont fit his style, fitness etc absolutely perfectly then you wont play at all (JKA) or will only make the bench (Eddie) Only when he feels you do will ...

Re: The "Summer" Transfer Window 20/21 season

You have expressed it very well. There is a certain period of time needed by each new player to play in Biesla's team. Four to five weeks is not going to make a new transfer "available" to be able to make a meaningful impact to the team. So I am with you , the team style, idiom and mechan...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 12th August) - Leeds cool interest in Wilson, as Benrahma identified as top ta

The financial implications because of Covid meant it was absolutely vital that we got promoted. Clubs in the championship are going to be really screwed as there will be no immediate influx of season ticket money, no gate receipts and the only income will be the paltry amount they get from TV. If w...

Morning Lover, unfortunately it all has a knock on effect. I guarantee you if will really effect the housing market. Its had a devastating effect on the millions of sole traders, plus the millions who will be made redundant. What happens when half the sky sports subscribers cancel their membership?...

Not sure a recession (created by the C19) is going to have too much impact on football tbh. Many top clubs, especially their multi millionaire and Billionaire owners will still recognise there's money to made from football in the respective future competitions, and they still need to plan and prepar...

Word is they're going to put a small betting booth in dressing for players at halftime.. ;-)

Got a funny feeling they're going to be increasing their listener numbers over next year or so.

Re: The "Summer" Transfer Window 20/21 season

Probably talked to him ... Ben White doesn't have to sign for a team he doesn't want to sign for, Brighton don't have to accept the lower offer. What happens then is Ben stays at Brighton while his value falls As a pragmatist I'd say if Chelsea offered 40M and a very good contract then they get him...

Re: Latest News

Brighton absolutely do need the money, and £20m+ for a reserve player is an opportunity they won't get again. We're the only club he's worth that much to, so I can see us setting it around £24/25m. Agreed... I think Brighton are just putting the feelers out with a 40 mil price tag hoping one ...

Re: Latest News

Welcome to the PL. Its like moving from a terraced house in Liverpool to Sandbanks in Bournemouth. Plenty try but can't afford it and end up homeless after a few years. Why not do a Norwich and spend nothing and give the young lads a go? It will surly benefit our Academy for another crack at the Ch...

Imagine how Ben must feel ? I'm pretty certain Ben has set his heart on joining Leeds after playing a integral part in our promotion, call it unfinished business! The lad who played his best football at Leeds must now feel like he's being used as a football :( It's a like from me, and a like from h...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 7th August) Season ticket waiting list will be open to the public from 9am this morn

Yes noticed but it’s irrelevant, it’s pointing out he is contracted to Brighton for two more years either way. Someone else has mentioned Brighton have an option for a third year. It’s just standard procedure, you can’t value someone at £30m and give them around £5k a week. Offer them improved term...

Re: Player Profile : Kiko Casilla

Kiko has been absolutely brilliant at coming out of his goal to clear danger. He has not once got that wrong which is incredible. Even against Derby in the play-off loss he was getting to the ball comfortably before the Derby player - unfortunately Cooper got to the ball first and we all know what ...

Doesn’t need to sign a new contract, he signed a new one just before joining us on loan, word has it Brighton haven’t offered him a new contract and they won’t. You can’t slap a £35m+ price tag on his head and pay him a wage that does not reflect that. https://www.insidefutbol.com/2020/08/08/leeds-...

The football world is a very different place now, in many ways. In particular the money gap between the PL and other leagues makes the task at hand all the more difficult for those promoted from the Championship. In 1980, after retiring from playing in football, Bielsa decided to start a career as a football manager. His first job was coaching the youth divisions of Newell's. In 1990, he was given the task of managing their first team, where he would go on to win the 1990 Torneo Apertura and the 1990–91 Tor...
