Potentially controversial but if we go up then surely Piroe has to go ?
But then again he wouldn't be the only one so perhaps better to wait until the coach journey home from Wembley before getting involved in this discussion.

Re: Wembley Tickets
I won't be tempted to flog mine at any price, I want to be in the ground when we go up again, been to too many let downs, we are certainly due a win. Very few of us have actually been there to witness promotion to the top division. 1923/24 maybe still the odd centurion out there who attended. 1927/...

Re: Golf Thread
Most annoying thing all weekend was everytime Rory hit a duff shot Paul McGinley saying it was a loss of concentration. Of course he might be right but it's far more likely he just can't handle the heat of the majors anymore because as soon as he gets anywhere near being in contention he throws in a...

Re: Wembley Tickets
Just for fun if someone offered you a grand for your ticket then would you take it ?
What about £3000 for 2 together ?
No chance from me mainly because Jammy Jnr would be distraught but otherwise I'd be tempted.

Re: Jurgen Klopp, where does he rank?
Not a fan of Klopp but recognise his passion and drive were vital in Liverpool having success during his tenure at Anfield. So well behind Ferguson & Guardiola but just about on a par with the rest I'd say with Mourinho probably slightly ahead of the others due to his ability to win trophies at ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 20th May) - Piroe or Bamford?
Interesting that Bamford only played the last 9 mins down at St Mary's earlier in the season and then missed out completely in the second defeat to them at ER recently. Piroe on the other hand played the full 90 in both defeats scoring once. Also of note is the Armstrong and Smallbone were the Saint...

Re: Premier League Thread - CITEH confirmed as CHAMPIONS
BIG boys :duno: don't you mean rich boys. Many a big club around..not just the pampered rich lot. How many clubs outside the Top 8 of the PL have a 50,000 plus capacity stadiums ? Big boys are big for a reason and the new stadiums at Arsenal & Tottenham weren't built by sportwashing oil money s...

Re: Premier League Thread - CITEH confirmed as CHAMPIONS
Let's hope City keep on winning it and then something might happen to level the playing field. Yes there are new proposals on the table for next season but nothing agreed yet and limiting the budget to 5x the club with the lowest income would still give the big boys around £600M to spend each season.

Re: Joel Piroe
Happy to admit to being wrong about Piroe.
Thought he was a complete waste of money because of a lack of pace and an indifferent first touch.
Only downside was he should have had a hatrick but hopefully he's saving those goals for Sunday.

Must admit to having lost interest in the PL this season.
Hopefully that changes after next Sunday.

Well done to Manchester City as they retain their title and become the 2024 Premier League Champions which makes it four in a row.

Disallowed goal but another good set piece from W Ham which shows how important it is not to concede them.

Re: Today's Games
Man City showing again that the best form of defence is to keep the ball.
75% possession is right in the sweet spot and West Ham simply haven't be able to cross the half way line during the second half.

Re: Wembley Tickets
Leeds have been allocated 35,796 tickets and assuming Southampton have been given the same that leaves approx 18,400 EFL & hospitality tickets.
There's bound to be quite a few of those changing hands at ridiculous prices.

Apparently it's a good idea to get into the ground as soon as you can as it's usually chaotic in the last hour before KO.

Re: Southampton pre match chat
Precisely this ^ We must have confidence in our own ability and attacking players to better theirs, they are our strength. Yes we will undoubtedly concede, but must go with the attitude 'we'll score more than you' Sorry to disagree but it seems to me our season has been built on clean sheets and no...

Re: Southampton pre match chat
Both times we've played them I think we've really struggled in midfield and they've found ways to always have a spare man which caused us lots of problems. They went back 3 2nd game and 4-3-3 1st. In both games it was the slickness of the passing but central overloads that we didn't cope with. Eith...

Certainly was right up there with one of the best atmosperes ever and after the early goal there wasn't any nerves from the crowd so it just got better.
