Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 17th May) - Leeds United are halfway there

Let's hope for a nasty game. Vicious tackles. Red cards. No penalties though. We don't want a team winning on penalties as that will mean they'll have a psychological edge should the final go to penalties. I counted at least 3 penalty shouts for Southampton... it may well be a tactic they. will exp...

If he could pass the ball with the same speed he grows his hair, Southampton would already be in the League one!

Re: Southampton pre match chat

You look at both those results and the winning team had about 35% possession. In fact if you look at most of their losses the magic number for opposition possession was between 30 and 35%. That’s as much to do with southamptons tactics as anything else but they are heavily reliant on transitions an...

Re: Southampton pre match chat

The main thing I took away from the last game was that if you press Southampton high they will conceded possession. Think we have to be really on the front foot against them and we'll get rewards! And also shooting from the 18 yd box... Alex McCarthy is vunerable... lets not try and walk it into th...

Re: Southampton pre match chat

Russell Martin, currently managing Southampton, has faced notable challenges and criticisms at his previous clubs, including MK Dons and Swansea City. **MK Dons' Defensive Frailties and Mid-Table Finish**: During his tenure at MK Dons, Martin's commitment to a possession-based style often led to def...

Re: Southampton pre match chat

To beat Southampton in the Championship playoff final, Leeds United will need to focus on several key areas, drawing insights from their past encounters this season. **Defensive Organization** Southampton's attacking prowess has been evident, particularly with players like Adam Armstrong and Che Ada...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 17th May) - Leeds United are halfway there

No , Wembley is the exact same size as every Premiership pitch and that of recent Premiership clubs with the only exceptions being Liverpool and Fulham due to the size of their grounds, It's regulations that they all have to meet so there's no extra space for anyone I seem to remember Jesse wanted ...

Re: Who do we want

Didn’t get much right versus either of them this season. But I like Corboran and can’t stand Russell Martin. And while I’m less afraid of West Brom’s lineup, I think my hatred of Russell Martin pushes me over. Nothing would please me more than for us doing something similar to him as we did to Ashl...

https://motforum.com/matches/4759.png . An uncharacteristic error from Ampadu let Sargent in on goal, only for Meslier to pull off a blinding save. Josh Sargent, the Norwich City forward, lodged a complaint regarding Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier's gloves, which were fluorescent neon yellow...

Re: Leeds v Norwich 2nd leg - Post Match Discussion

It was a truly inspirational analogy involving the likes of Nostradamus, Leonardo Da Vinci, Clarke Carlisle, Joan of Arc, Brian the 3 legged sheep and Albert Camus. Completely forgotten it though now. Nostradamus, the enigmatic 16th-century seer, is often remembered for his cryptic prophecies that ...

Re: Leeds Utd v Norwich City Match Thread

just watched Finland Austria world championship ice hockey. The score is 2-2. Last shot of the game Austria score, everybody thinks it won't count cos the games over. When they check the clock it reads 00:00:02. Finland looses by 2 hundredths of a second.

Funny old game sport is, I was gutted.
