Re: Leeds Utd v Watford Match Thread - Llorente returns for Cresswell
Seems that our player of last season needs a spell away from the first team to get his head/ body right.
A fit and firing Dallas is a major asset. We need him back to something like last season.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 30th September) - Is it make or break time for Tyler Roberts
Roberts is symbolic of a lack of quality in our midfield. It seems Bielsa sees Roberts as one of his options in a pool of 18 players. ( the U23s don’t feature ) I’m not going to slag Roberts off but as a Premiership player he’s way short. I thought he struggled to make an impact in the Championship ...

One line worries me, He wants 18 players of high quality. I think he is the only one on planet football that thinks Roberts is in this category

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 28th September) - Manchester Utd plotting £60m Phillips capture
If KP went to them lot then you could definitely say there’s something at the ‘ole homestead. This is just tabloid headline grabbing bullish.it in it’s laziest form. No news around so create some. What is not bullish.it however is that we have not invested properly in the squad. Is that down to the ...

I’m currently in hospital recovering from bowel cancer surgery and I wouldn’t like to know that any of the plethora of brilliant staff hadn’t had their jabs.
Would the protesting non immunised like to be looked after by non immunised staff?

An online BBC sports segment said “ Arteta. The new Venga?”
Someone must have a real proper funny bone because 3 games ago he was the worst manger in the league.

Re: Leeds Utd v West Ham Utd Match Thread
This forum is a refreshing change to some others of the “sack him now” ilk. I like the supported views of most on here but from all of them it is clear something has to change. We cannot change the poor recruitment in the Summer so we have what we have. This all at the manager’s feet now and I feel ...

Re: Arsenal Thread
Spurs were pants in the first half, Arsenal only had to play ok to boss it, which they did. Game’s like this give me a little encouragement for the season ahead.

Re: Have we had a more difficult fixture list than last season?
Technically it looks more difficult . The practical problem is we are not playing anywhere like as well.
Any fixtures in this league are problematic if you collectively off your game.

In my mind why buy a player from a team that doesn’t do much defending?
Still got to give him time though.

Re: Leeds Utd v West Ham Utd Match Thread
There is an undeniable truth that no other manger would have got that squad out of the Championship and into mid table Premiership last season. This also doesn’t mean he is beyond criticism. It seems in his mind that the players he had will be forever foremost in his plans. Noble but ultimately doom...

Re: Leeds Utd v West Ham Utd Match Thread
I simply do not get this Roberts thing. If Costa was still here he would still use him. Roberts has not got the ability to change the course of the game . MB you maybe a legend but I hope you can see this is pissing everyone off. I also feel like Creswell in in because he is absolute last resort and...

Re: Joe Gelhardt scores 2 stunners at Liverpool
Gelhardt has more talent in his little finger than Roberts has in total. Three seasons ago Gelhardt was having a near full season in the Championship whilst Roberts had a bit part. When the opposition see Roberts come off the bench they don’t have to change anything. Got a feeling it might be a litt...

Hoorah, Summerville gets a run out.
Roberts. Sorry lad you had the odd good game in the Championship. Must be related to the manager in some way.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 16th September) Leeds keen to extend Phillips contract amid City interest
Lose KP and we really would be in the do do. Yes we would get a huge wedge of cash but we all know how long it takes to get players to integrate into the Bielsa way. The FA decision. When have we been on the positive side of any FA/ EFL decision? If this was a court case it would be thrown out befor...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 13th September) - Leeds outclassed by Liverpool
Bielsa has a couple of blind spots as far as I am concerned. 1. Total faith in a select band of players. Roberts is a classic example. He constantly gets the nod over any of our U23s. The argument that Gelhardt ,for example, has not played senior football doesn’t wash. If I remember correctly he was...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 13th September) - Leeds outclassed by Liverpool
Looking on the positive side, we should only get better. We certainly have to. On the negative side we could have lost all our matches. Bamford needs help up front. There is so much pressure on the lad and if he has an average season instead of a great one like the last campaign we will lose more ga...
