Re: Sports Newsflash

Day 2. The title race is still wide open. Warwickshire just managed to reach the 350 mark for the 4 bonus points that will take them 0.5 ahead of Hampshire, providing they get the maximum bowling points by finding 4 more wickets in the next 33 overs against Somerset who have finally found some form ...

Re: Sports Newsflash

Hampshire blew the chance of any crucial batting bonus points on day 1 against Lancashire. Warwickshire will need to reach 350 in 110 overs to overtake them and lead by 0.5 knowing a win will likely see them crowned champions. 67 more runs required in 14 overs and only 4 wickets down. I think it's a...

Re: Player rankings v Newcastle

Meslier 7 - Some great stops Dallas 6 - Not the best start to the season. Hardly ever see him in and around the box these days. Not his fault. Ayling 6 - Struggled at times. Kept on his toes when defending. Cooper 6 - Some good tackles. Like Ayling, barely coped with Maxim at times. Firpo 4 - Looked...

Re: Covid Wars

2 covid cases I've known of recently: The first was a lad I knew, not too well but I'd see him walking around from time to time and we'd exchange pleasantries. I don't think he worked, just stayed home most of the time. A bit of a loner in his late 20's. I last saw him I think around Monday last wee...

Re: New book.

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully it will be add some depth to this thing below that I purchased off some random stranger for £12, frame included, who walked into my place of work about 3 years ago. He had all the big teams. Thought it was a pretty good deal actually.

Re: Sports Newsflash

Disappointing for everyone this. I've been disappointed in plenty of aspects of both series with India starting after the 1st test over there this year and all of my gripes surround India in one way or another. All things considered, I think this test should've gone ahead regardless, that it hasn't ...

Re: Occupation

I'd have liked to have been a vet or a cricket umpire or a tractor driver. Instead I've evolved into one of these 'jack of all trades' types. Always been a hands on, manual work kind of guy. If I had a penny for every time I've had to say to people "I wish you'd had come to me first" after...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 27th July) - Anxiety over lack of transfer activity at Elland Road

Neither is Bamford tbf, he's also not an attacking mid. What he is is a false 9 in MB's system and a great finisher. He gets first crack if Paddy goes down for me which would mean any striker we buy becomes the third choice and I'm not sure many would come for that unless young and then we get the ...

Re: Another 'final' challenge for Warnock?

To be fair to the guy, he has made one little girl very happy, a gesture she'll always remember. I actually like Warnock, I agree he wasn't the right fit for Leeds, but he's a character. Football needs characters and there ain't many around  This is probably just him being Covid-safe too. Whil...
