Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 3rd January) - Wober spotted in Leeds ahead of transfer

Another Red Bull signing!
It really wouldn't surprise me if there was an announcement that we have been renamed "RB Leeds".
We are a cheap way for the company to get a foothold in the richest league in the world.

Re: Does Marsch have a Plan

I am more optimistic about our chances in 2023.
The previous three games have been against some of the top teams in the league.
But we now have a good run of fixtures against teams in the bottom half, where we should pick up some points.

Re: Newcastle Utd v Leeds Utd Match Thread

About time Gnonto had a run of games.
If he's good enough for the Italian national team, he's good enough to play for Leeds.

Reminds me of Tomas Brolin. A big money move, then it's all downhill from there.

Re: Qatar World Cup 2022. England v France 7pm

We looked good going forward.
But our defence let in two goals in open play...France didn't need penalties.
Pickford should not have been beaten for the first goal, and Maguire should have prevented Giroud getting on the end of the cross for the second goal.

Sad news about Bamford.
At one time he was scoring goals and was included in the England squad.
He probably won't ever reach that level again.

I expect the Japanese fans are now happily cleaning up their rubbish after the match?

Re: Qatar World Cup 2022 - England v Iran. 1pm Monday

Seems like England are really going out of their way to insult their hosts!
A taking the knee demo (I thought that had been dropped by now) and also a non-approved armband. Plus the manager and captain giving negative comments about their host country.

Re: Am I the only one....

There was also a lot of negativity before the 2018 World Cup in Russia. People complaining about the regime etc. But it turned out to be one of the best World Cups ever. Hopefully the BBC will stop preaching to us about LGBTQ "issues" and concentrate on broadcasting the games in a professi...

Re: Positives & Negatives v Spurs

Positive: Went away to White Hart Lane and competed with one of the top four.
Negative: When we have a lead away from home, we need to close the game down in the final quarter.

Re: Leeds vs Bournemouth Positves and Negatives

Positives: Another three points and it is clear we have some young talent in our squad.
Negative: People booing at half time. Why don't they go and "support" some other team?

Yet another Red Bull player?
We could end up being their first Premier League franchise: RB Leeds.
I'm not joking...

Re: Jesse Marsch pre Bournemouth

After that result against Liverpool I am now interested in what Jesse is saying.
"...the metrics are improving..."
Maybe "The Process" is starting to work.

Re: Wilfried Gnonto

Gnonto is good enough to be selected for the Italian national side.
So why he hasn't featured more for Leeds is a mystery to me.

Don't agree with spectators booing the team off.
I expect the players feel bad enough without having the home crowd turn on them.

Re: Would relegation be so bad?

Maybe LUFC is destined to be a yoyo club for the next decade.
In terms of financial resources, we must be down amongst the bottom six and our ground does not compare well with most of the others in the Premier League.

Re: Would relegation be so bad?

Relegation would be a disaster.
We spent 16 years trying to get back to the top league. We have to stick in there.
I would settle for 17th place once again, right now.
