Re: Norwich City v Leeds Utd Match Thread

Neutral analysis nqWsmKLseFM Interesting point in that about over a 46 game season they'd have Farke but in knockout football they'd have Wagner. Does that maybe apply to Southampton as well? :duno: In the sense that Farke and Martin are all about thuis mythical "project" stuff, not overl...

Re: Loan Watch

Middlesbrough will not be taking up the £1.5mil option to buy on Sam Greenword according to local Boro media. Despite a respectable 5 goals and 3 assists it seems it masked an overall underwhelming loan with 7 of those coming in an 8 game purple patch October/November time and after that not much el...

Re: European/World Football

Still not entirely sure why Ferdinand thought this would make him look good?

"Yeah bro so just go stand in that corner, record me coming out and not standing on this carpet, it will look really natural and unplanned bruv, showing respect to the badge innit".

Would assume not?

As you say, good for us.

Experienced player and solid defender so good stuff.

Re: European/World Football

Is Mbappe ever going to reach the hype?

No Champions League medals

No Ballon d'Or medals

At the same age Ronaldo had one of each.

Haaland has a Champions League at 23.

Messi had 3 of each at the same age Mbappe is now.

Is Mbappe in danger of becoming a Neymar?

You are already a great help to me with the post match polls when I'm at our games.

I have no doubt that you'll be heavily involved in the Summer Transfer thread too.
And the next manager thread in the summer?

Re: Premier League Thread

Unlucky with Man Utd , managers with much higher profiles haven't done a lot differently to him ..........always was going to be impossible after Ferguson , same as Leeds after Revie or again Manure after Busby . It's one of those things you don't want to be the next one.......but I guess that chan...

Re: Loan Watch

Llorente is a far better centre half than Rodon and Kristensen is better than Gray/Roberts at right back. Just my opinion of course. Oh and Aaronson is the attacking midfielder we've all been crying out for. Now how do we convince them to give us one more season assuming we fail in the play offs ? ...

Re: Championship Thread

Liam Rosenior has been sacked by Hull after missing out on the playoffs.

Ruthless from Hull owner.

Very well backed tbf.

Highly rated Turkish winger Abdulkadir Omur signed permanently.
Goalie Ivor Pandur
Fabio Carvalho
Ryan Giles
Noah Ohio

Bit of a surprise but can't say he wasn't backed.

Re: Bring back Jesse

I think if you took any style of playing there will be similariteis to other styles and differences, after all it is still 11 players, 1 ball, 1 pitch etc. I think you then cut your cloth according to which bits you think work and which don't and try to evolve it. Whether it works though still boil...

Re: Bring back Jesse

I wonder if this is an issue compounded by our defensive woes last season and the season before ("woes" may not be a strong enough word), as well as DF's squads defensive frailties in the past. Not making excuses for him going too far the other way, but add in a cobbled together backline ...

Re: Southampton post match discussion

I think we all remember the photo of Bielsa slumped in the corridor after the QPR defeat. THe team was shot and Bielsa looked completely unable to turn it around. We then went to Brentford and battered them 1-1. Then went on something like a 7 match winning run. Football can change in an instant. T...
