Re: Summer Transfer Rumours

No another question nailed you're positive about our signings?.... our signings: - silvestri: a goalkeeper - fair, probably a decent keepers. - Doukara: nothing more than a striker for the future surely, goalscoring record to date is fairly average to poor. - berardi: fair, looks like a fairly shre...

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours

Personally beginning to get a very pesimistic feeling about the forthcoming season. Considering £15 million has been quoted as going to be spent on strengthening the squad, and we've lost our best player, all I have seen is we've signed a few nobodies (not even particularly well known in Italy eithe...

Re: WORLD CUP 2014

Big call to rule out Hulk's goal for handball. Contentious to say the least! Looked like upper arm to me, and I thought the rule was below the elbow for handball? upper arm is still handball, it's shoulder which is allowed definitely a handball, if you control it with your arm it's a foul simple as...

bet £20 on various bets for a few weeks, till I realised it's just a massive waste of money. good luck!

Re: World Cup 2014 - ENGLAND v URAGUAY

never been a big fan but thought henderson was terrific tonight, really showed some fighting spirit and quality. Sterling...forgot he was even on the pitch, maybe an error pushing him out wide. thought Rooney was okay. Barkley have the ball away far too much. Defending again was poor for both goals....

Re: World Cup 2014 - ARGENTINA v BOSNIA

In all fairness the new "slipper" boots, do make kicking and dribbling the ball a lot easier, and surely it's at the players on risk to wear them rather than sturdier boots?

Re: World Cup 2014 - SWITZERLAND v ECUADOR

Can't believe how noone has mentioned Baines performance yet....gave away possession far too easily, dominated on the right flank and taken on far too easily for the cross to their second goal, corners and crossing was poor too...the reliance and pace of Ashley Cole in years gone by was missed and p...

I have to say, sterling's pace tore Italy apart at times - as opposed to being blocked by Italy - I thought that was such obvious? He was my man of the match by a mile...

Re: World Cup 2014 - ENGLAND v ITALY

I wouldnt call myself an idiot for wanting to get rooney dropped. Barkley is the man for the future, i think he should have that spot. I think welbeck should be dropped ahead of Rooney without a doubt. I think, however, you've nailed it there...this is Rooney's world cup, Barkley needs four years t...

Re: World Cup 2014 - ENGLAND v ITALY

Personally felt proud of the way England played for most of the game. We always knew italy would dominate possession but the way sterling, welbeck and sturridge took the game to Italy on the counter attack in the first half was excellent! Yes defence looks a bit leaky, thought Baines had an awful ga...

Re: Egg has been scrambled?

I could use many similar examples for why we should have supported Brian by listing the many good traits he had and made excuses for his shortcomings (lack of background consistency, negligible transfer funds, being treated disgracefully) but to many those comments are just brushed aside with the c...

Re: Cellino, don’t take anything for granted

Nice article. And though I do agree that it is a bit concerning regarding his history of petulance and involvement with stadiums, I haven't been this excited about where the club is heading in a long time. Though he had lots of problems at Cagliari, he has still maintained them in Serie A...somethin...

Re: Egg has been scrambled?

Personally I think a lot of people are judging Cellino and his reign at Leeds far too early. Fair play, if at the end of next season we're relegated and in tonnes of financial problems...but at present all he seems to have done is settle debts at the club and agree to get rid of a manager most wante...
