Never been his biggest fan, always felt he slowed our momentum, but he is a player transformed this season. Long may it continue

Given Forshaw has disappeared of the face of the earth again despite his injury not being serious i did some reading.

Since arriving he has been a Leeds player for 81 possible league games.

He has been injured for 31 of those.

Becoming a real sick note.

Also he was injured when we signed him

£4.5m for a player that has made 42 appearances (not starts), no goals, one assist  I suspect we didn't dilly-dally with that transfer. Boro' no doubt snapped our hands off with that deal :(

Him and Douglas have been real let downs since they arrived . BD must be on a par with AF in terms of games played. AF was showing signs of improvement before his latest layoff but BD offers nothing and leeds should get rid in January.

Could it be that we are a better side without him?

He got a lot of praise early on and seemed to make us more solid but we actually are better without him.

He has played in 2 of our 3 defeats, 11 points in 7 games with, 35 points in 14 without.

Its odd because he seemed to make us more solid, but he never really fit the box to box mid role either and something seemed off with him, Klich and KP as a trio.

He's good as a dm but doesnt move the ball as quick as KP seems to, he doesnt have the same threat Klich does and maybe its just me but others seem to have improved without Forshaw?

Mysterious injury aside but we seem better balanced without him? With Klich and Pablo and Kp behind them.

Their are certain games where Forshaw makes sense, that bit of experience and a cool head, someone to provide a bit more help to KP and keep the ball.

But largely he in this side in a side that dominates the ball and is on the attack most of the time is a bit of a spare part imo.

Poor signing

Forshaw has never set the world alight at any of his clubs

Forshaw did get himself in some good attacking positions but either picked the wrong pass, could t execute the right pass or his shooting was off.

Defensively he is sound though.

But he doesn’t compare to KP. But tbf who at the club does?

Forshaw has a hip injury he cant fully recover from- Bielsa.

This is a player who was meant to only miss 1 game over 3 months ago . . . . . .

Sooo we need to replace him to imo, a dm.

Hip injuries can be career ending and tricky to diagnose to start with ( I though Tua Tagovaiola's career might be over before it started)..Forshaw plays best where Klich does for me. The 8 rather than the 4.

Sell him asap, neither use nor ornament if he's going to spend most of his career in the treatment room.

Feel sorry for him.

Wonder if they will seek a replacement?

If he requires a hip replacement that would probably end Forshaw's career

Gotts and McCalmont are decent replacements. Kenneh looks the best DMF/CB/CM 16 year old I've seen in donkeys years...He's going to be special with any luck at all

6 months later the club finally decide to send Forshaw for surgery and end his season.
Makes the decision to not sign a replacement when we had the chance look even more dumb.

Very poor planning.

It does seem bizarre that they have waited this long to decide he needs an operation. I guess they were trying everything else first but nothing was curing the problem?
If the op doesn't cure it, it could end his career.

Just look at Andy Murray and the various things he tried with his hip before finally going down the surgery route. Very high risk surgery so it is no wonder they try other things first.
