Re: Championship 19/20

Post by Cjay »

Our next 3 games are against 18th, 19th and 21st.

WBA have got 7th, 3rd and 6th.

WBA from reading reports havent been convincing, clinical id say but they arent blowing teams away (neither are we).

We should expect 9 points from our next 3 imo.

If WBA match that then fair play to them but hopefully we do our part at least :)

Just to add to that Fulhams next month is very tough.

Let's hope that lot slow them up a bit.

Two developing stories.

1) Sheffield Wednesday owner Delphon Chansiri could be banned from football as the EFL step up their investigation into the stadium sale.

2) Derby are closing on an investment, Cocu will remain in his job and the investment will provide funds for January.

32Red are paying for 80% of his fee apparently through sponsorship.

Got to hand it to Mel Morris, he gets round FFP easily.

Played 2 won 2. I'd be well happy with 10 pts from that lot. 12 is a bonus

Results been very good for us this weekend, just need Swansea to get something off WBA tomorrow to make it perfect.

Then in the week.
Fulham (3rd) vs Preston (7th)

Bristol City (4th) vs Millwall who have only lost 1 of 7 since Rowett took over.

Cardiff (8th) Vs Brentford (9th)

Swansea have Blackburn who are in decent form.

WBA have to go to Wigan who are better at home.

If we can get the win vs Hull (wont be easy) but if we can then we will gain ground on at least 2 of the top 10 and hopefully more.

Comeeee onnnnnn

Another great day of results.

Fulham lost
Bristol City lost
Forest drew

11 points clear of 3rd.

Fulham really dropped a ball by keeping Parker on, long may it continue.

So tight below us. Wendies could go 3rd with a win tonight at Rams.

Interesting set of fixtures next weekend, 6 of the top 7 playing one another, the other Preston away to Cardiff.
A chance for Blackburn to enter the top 6?

Cardiff City v Preston North End
Fulham v Leeds United
Huddersfield Town v Nottingham Forest
Hull City v Birmingham City
Luton Town v Swansea City
Millwall v Barnsley
Queens Park Rangers v Charlton Athletic
Reading v Derby County
West Bromwich Albion v Brentford
Sheffield Wednesday v Bristol City
Blackburn Rovers v Wigan Athletic

Scott Parker saying his team lack confidence a bit and went flat as soon as they went behind, got a massive task ahead of them against Leeds next weekend.

Not a great motivational post match speech

Only just read this.

Birmingham City FC are in line for a 2nd FFP punishment after failing to stick to the agreed business plan imposed on them by the EFL.

Another triumph for Shaun this.

What manner of moron did the EFL allow to take over Birmingham?

Some news to cheer people up.

Mitrovic was forced to come off injured today and it didnt look good apparently according to Scott Parker.

Fulham lose him then they are screwed (unless they replace him ).

ManU have bid £30 for that Bellingham kid who scored against us last month.

£30M for a 16yo.

Seems OGS has decided to go for an "Ollys babes" sort of approach.

No easy games in the Championship as everyone knows.

But if you want promotion then taking points off your playoff rivals is a bonus, beating the rest is a must.

That being said, saw a graphic, fixtures left between the current top 7.

Fulham have the most-6
Preston, Bristol City, us, Brentford, Forest, WBA.

Then Preston with 5
WBA, Fulham, Forest, Brentford, Bristol City

Then WBA and Bristol City have 4
WBA-Bristol City, Preston, Brentford, Fulham
Bristol City- WBA, Fulham , Forest, Preston.

Then Brentford and Forest have 3 each.
Brentford- Fulham, WBA, Preston
Forest- Bristol City, Fulham, Preston

And finally us, we have 1
Fulham.

So while our rivals have to take points of eachother, we just have to do what any side with real promotion ambition should do, beat the rest.
