A slight dab of Sweet Chilli sauce, the only time I have white bread.NorfolkWhite wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 11:58 am We have them once a week, must confess though I've progressed from Findus to the posh Waitrose ones....any type of bread will do, quite like 'em in granary Must have ketchup for me though.
Saturday afternoon treat, the 4 of us love em.

Big seafood fan, the one which I love and hasn't been mentioned yet is Dover Sole, which if pushed I'd vote as my favourite. Curry house nearby does a lovely Monkfish and potato number which is a real winner.

Tuna or halibut- if fresh caught. Then salmon.
If we're talking defrosted then I go haddock, cod, and sole.

When I lived in Scotland Pike and Perch were considered course fish
and were despised because they were predators that ate the noble fish
the salmon and the brook trout.
But here in Finland Perch are selling at 19€ a kilo while you can get
Salmon for as little as 7€ a kilo. I have been fishing for Perch with a Finnish
invention called a Katiska and have been getting some good catches.
Perch make a fine fish soup.

Oh no, just remembered swordfish. Fresh swordfish in Greece is one of the nicest things I've ever had.

We must have fish at least 3 times a week and I could eat smoked salmon till the cows come home.
But to this day the best fish meal I've ever had was Perch of the Nile in the fish restaurant of the King Solomon Hotel in Eilat, back in about 1990.
