The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 11th June) Belgium Champions fend of Leeds interest in Lang
Good Morning. It's Friday 11th June, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road...
Belgium Champions fend of Leeds interest in Lang
Italian Sky Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Belgium outfit Club Brugge are trying to tie Noa Lang down to an improved longer contract, to fend off interest from Leeds. The Belgium Champions have yet to activate the clause in the 21 year olds loan agreement to make the move from Ajax permanent; but can do this at any time.
Romano is known to be a reliable source, in which case there is certainly strong interest from Elland Road, but why is a winger such high priority for the Whites? Brugge have also it it be known that if Leeds want the Dutch youth International, they will have to stump up over 20m, 14m more than the agreed purchase price with Ajax.
Pedro de la Vega back on Leeds radar
Leeds may well end their interest in Lang, and turn their attention to South America instead! This time last year, the Whites were pursuing Lanos teenager back Pedro de la Vega. At the time Vega was valued in the region of 3.5m, but after impressing in the Argentine Primera División last term, his valuation has soured to £8.5m, with a host of top European clubs monitoring the 19 year old.£8.5m is still cheap compared with European comparisons like Lang!
Argentine International available half price
Dutch giants Ajax have told Leeds that they can have Nicolas Tagliafico for half price after Leeds initial interest in the Argentine International caught their attention according to media outfit De Telegraaf! The 28 year olf left back is known for his 'lung busting stamina, up and down the left channel. He is very skillful and difficult to disposes. He has 29 International caps to his name
The newly crowned Eredivisie champions have set their sights on AZ Alkmaar’s Owen Wijndal, he's seven years younger than Tagliafico and already part of the Dutch International senior side. This time last year, Arsenal came close to signing Tagliafico, for a reported fee of 20m. If Leeds are quick, they'll be able to fill their left back problem for half that!

Good morning EB et all, hope you all enjoy the nice weather this weekend and the football
Noa Lang do we really need another right winger we have Raph, Little Ian, Summerville (U23s), Costa (unless we sell please), Dallas and Harrison can play there, plus his value has shot up in the last 12 months
Pedro de la Vega do we really need another blah blah blah but he is much cheaper
Nicolas Tagliafico yes we need a really good Left Wing Back and he is one, or we could be sneaky and nick Owen Wijndal from under Ajax's noses as we now know who they want as a replacement

Plenty of rumours Elland and you have to wonder how much of this has any substance?
It could just be Leeds putting up a smokescreen to distract from the players they are really pursuing, or could be agents touting their clients with the end goal of lining their own pockets.
It'll all come out in the wash this summer. I'm hoping we prioritize recruitment of a left back and playmaker.
The JKA debacle could reduce Orta's
war chest, but I've got faith that he'll get things right as we did some excellent deals last summer.

There was very little mention of Rodrigo, Koch, Llorente or Raphinha last summer before they actually signed.
How many of the 'linked players did we actually sign? None.
We have to trust that Victor has got it all under control and the players we are speaking to sign on the dotted line.

Correct Chilli, according to the clickbait we were signing every Argentinian midfielder apart from Messi last summer and actually signed none. Take it all with a pinch of salt and wait for the confirmed deals as they happen..Chilli D wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 9:24 am Exactly.

It's just the annual summer window transfer jamoboree

A tad overpriced to say the least. Joe Willock scored in 7 consecutive games, matching Shearer's consecutive scoring record at Newcastle in a much worse team, against Premier League opposition, in half a season after only starting in 3 or 4 games and is valued at £20mil.White Riot wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 9:33 am Was pleased that Villa paid up for Buendia though, what a bunch of mugs

I see Ryan Edmondson has signed for Fleetwood on a season long loan.
Good luck to the lad.
