Re: LUFC Under 23s - 21/22 Season. Gelhardt Goal Last Night
Ben Parker does talk some rubbish.
"We need a bit of luck"
No Ben, we need to learn how to defend efficiently. Excuses tonight with the sending off of Cresswell.

Re: LUFC Under 23s - 21/22 Season. Gelhardt Goal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only caught the last 30 minutes of tonight's game, two thoughts:
The U23s play some great attacking football, though they faded toward the end.
The referee ate all the pies.

U18 backline apart from Drameh, no Bate in midfield so maybe he’s in the frame for the weekend.
No Paddy either, Amarillo Miller is back from injury.
2-0, Summerville again.

Hat trick Summerville on 35 minutes.

So far only Summerville and Drameh making a case for Saturday, Greenwood is a bit up and down though he’s closing down like a madman.

So, Summerville, Drameh & Greenwood could start v West Ham as all three subbed at half-time.

Here we go again.
Sunderland all over us.

3-2 now Leon, game of two halves indeed.
Shows the difference a few influential players can make and reflects the first team being without Luke Ayling, Kalvin and Paddy.

I really rate Summerville, maybe as much as Joe ... he's way too good for the 23's.

Was only a matter of time
3-3
Sunderland allowed to walk the ball into the net with no one marking two Sunderland attackers.

Still shouldn't be chucking a 3-0 lead away, DavyCarrick Dave wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 8:41 pm 3-2 now Leon, game of two halves indeed.

Re: LUFC Under 23s - 21/22 Season. Leeds 3-3 Sunderland
Looks like the central defence was very young and maybe never played together before. Once the creative outlet left the park we probably invited pressure
Debayo and Littlewood was it, neither of which I seen play. No Struijk, no Hjelde, no Cresswell. No Kenneh, maybe down to CB 5 and 6 in terms of the kids ... Drameh taken off at the half. So no real surprise we conceded
