Summer 2022 transfer speculation and squad discussion

Apart from Grealish I can't really recall Man City paying over the odds for a player in recent years. When they have spent fairly big they have spent wisely and I think they have even made a profit on transfers this summer (or not much in debt).

Something's got to give eventually. There's only so many good players out there and the price tags aren't matching the quality. Every transfer window gets harder and harder. It doesn't help with the likes of Chelsea hoarding players and then pricing them out of moves elsewhere.

You say escapes as though we were ever interested in him. He's had one good half season at championship level. The fact he's ending up going to play in France tells me that the interest from Premiership clubs wasn't there.

Broja,Diaz, Maupay, Watkins, sarr, adam. all these would be decent options and would improve us. if they don’t want to spend big sums then try to loan them - all clubs around us happily strengthening whilst we just sit back and pray we have enough as usual - fools the lot of them. Depressing yet inevitable.

If they are spending money on the stadium then fine but don’t expect it to be full if we get trapped in the champ for another long stint.

i.e : Speculative punt ? ( Raphinha ?).... Proven Prem player ? (Ronaldo ?)... Experienced guy ( James Milner?) you get my drift ?

Hearing all these Christian Pulisic to LUFC rumors today. As an American Leeds supporter let me just say this would be a TERRIBLE idea. The price tag is WAY too high for one thing. But I just don't see him as a Leeds player. And where does he fit in the system? I think he would be a huge disruption to the current squad.

It's six of one and half a dozen of the other. Can see your points on why you wouldn't have him. On the flip side, with a loan rather than a buy, I think we could afford him. Isn't the #9 we need, but would clearly offer something to the team. Not sure his work ethic is up there though.

Conner talked about it on the One Leeds Fan Channel. Other than that just some rumors in minor USA media. Nothing I would call serious. Just thought I would get in front of it. Because like you said....It won't happen.

I love Pulisic! No issues with him in terms of talent, work ethic, or attitude. I think he's a great player when fit. But he's been injured far too often for both club and country. And what's he on about £140K per week???
