Will bring back happy memories from him when he hears the Getafe fans all chanting their team name and he hears 'Get off, get off'

Works better as a verbal joke that one.

How can scum loan him after announcing 2 weeks ago that his contract was being cancelled by mutual consent?

Well it is Spain so you know you can do what you want there. Ask the women’s National team

I think it boils down to them not being able to sack him as they basically said they found him not guilty of doing anything that was a sackable offence (obviously they planned to keep him until the backlash). As such they have to pay him his wages until either his contract runs out or he moves permanently somewhere. The sticking point with a permanent move would likely be his wages so it is presumably a loan so that they get some of the wages paid.

That said it wouldn't surprise me if MU are hoping for the backlash to die down, especially if he gets picked for England, and then he ends up back playing for them.

Of course you’ve spent time in Spain I believe so are familiar with the custom of picking up random women and sticking your tongue down their throat. As long as you put them back down again it’s ok.
I grew up in Wales. You do the joke.

That makes sense, good response, thanks..

Also agree they would bring him back if the backlash dies down

They are only keeping him sweet as like Weasel said if he performs for a couple of seasons away and possibly gets back in the England squad they will hope the backlash dies down and they'll offer him a new contract, they were already planning on bringing back
