It would have been terrible to go in one down after that much control of the game. We’re missing some good central runs by Bamford and Rodrigo in particular in favor of going wide. Harrison’s delivery from the right has been poor. It’s often blocked or over hit. Raphinha on the other wing is more likely to pick out someone, like he did for the goal.

Alioski fell asleep for their goal and completely lost Hendrick allowing a simple tap in. So brittle in defence now it’s scary.

I think someone’s had a word with Harrison & Alioski, much better than last time so far.

Rodrigo is screaming to be involved, and Raphinha poses a treat all the time - 25% improvement in shot accuracy and we win this comfortably.

I love to watch this team when we push on, when we lose our focus we look aimless - so far tonight we look good, and fair play to Paddy, he’s starting to look like a real sniffer.

Ayling if anyone at fault for the goal but it was well worked...

Brilliant 1st half, should have had 3 goals though. Magpies hardly touched the ball. Hopefully we will win it 3-1.

Our captain scares me everytime he has the ball, not comfortable with him at all though he has played decently.

Yeah, we are garbage at defending crosses, corners and free-kicks

That’s true, but every defender has to be prepared for the worst when the opposition are in your box. Also, we are not favorites to win any header in our own square so he has to expect that ball not to be cleared, unfortunately.

After the horrible West Ham performance we are back to normal tonight.
Good work rate, lots of possession, look good going forward, dodgy in defence and we can't make our dominance count because of our poor finishing.
We have to win this one, Newcastle are very poor.
